Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:11 am

Hello guys. When I reboot my raspberry pi, sometimes my raspberry pi hang. And screen this:

Code: Select all

[ OK ] Stopped Login Service.
[ OK ] Started Show Plymouth Reboot Screen.
[ OK ] Stopped Permit User Session.
[ OK ] Deactivated swap /var/swap.
[ OK ] Stopped LSB: Autogenerate and use a swap file.
[ OK ] Stopped target Remote File Systems.
[ OK ] Stopped target Remote File Systems (Pre).
[ OK ] Stopped target NFS client services.

Please give more detail, like what had been done just before shutdown.
I'm setting up a webpage and email server on a Pi 3B+ running Ubuntu Mate 18.10.

I tried again now. ı started raspberry pi. Usb flash, wireless dongle and keyboard dongle attached to my Rpi. Also I used vnc server and kitty. Kitty connected with ssh to my Rpi. Usually I use vnc server. I used python idle 3, I did some try codes run. When I saw your post, I tried again and Raspberry show to me this:

Code: Select all

[ OK ] Started Show Plymouth Power Off Screen
Just I did these.

That seems normal. Try booting it now. Does it hang on every reboot or just sometimes?

Which model Pi?

What operating system (and version)?

What are you using for a power supply?

Are you booting from SD card or USB?
My mind is like a browser. 27 tabs are open, 9 aren't responding,
lots of pop-ups...and where is that annoying music coming from?

1.5A could be a bit low, depending on what else you have attached to the CM3.

Run the system for a while, then before rebooting try the command:

Code: Select all

vcgencmd get_throttled
If you get a non-zero result, post it here.

Have you run sudo rpi-update on the system? Because that installs the possibly buggy and unstable testing branch kernel and firmware.

Power supply should be 5V 2.5A for best results. Try running a cpu-itensive app and see if it gives an undervoltage warning. (Get your CPU to 100%. Even if it seems ok at a moderate level, 100% will often kill it if it is undervolted.)

My setup:
Raspberry Pi 3b+ running Raspbian Buster, firmware date July 9 2019 (via PINN)
Kingston 32 GB class 10 (U1) SDHC card
Lexar 16GB flash drive for backups
pi-top 3 with drivers and pi-topHUB 2.0

Not necessarily for a CM3. It depends what it is being used for.
