Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+ does not connect to 5.8 wifi

New Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+

The device connects to 2.4GHz wifi but will not connect to 5.8GHz wifi.

The iwconfig output for interface wlan0 includes the 5.8 channels.

I have the latest (from the Raspberry Pi website) Raspian Lite installed.

Is there some drivers or something that must be installed?

(The same exact micro-SD in a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ does connect to my 5.8 wifi).

I think I figured out why the Pi A+ wasn;t connecting. The signal strength was not strong enough at the location where it was positioned. I moved it to a mpre open spot a little closer the wifi source and now it connects repeatably.

Below see that in the iwlist scan when it wouldn't connect the signal strength shows at -69dBm. When it connected the signal strength was strong enough at -61dBm.

When out of range:
