I have 3 raspberries but on 1 of them wlan0 doesnt connect to wifi
I get this
wlan0: flags=4099<UP,BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
ether b8:27:eb:9d:54:c7 txqueuelen 1000 (Ethernet)
RX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 0 bytes 0 (0.0 B)
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions

How to debug this issue?

That interface is up but completely inactive (0 packet sent/received, 0 error)
Some config file could be missing or be wrong. Don’t forget to check cmdline.txt and config.txt.

On the command line, look for errors in “dmesg” and/or in the system log. “sudo tail -1500 /var/log/syslog | less” will let you page through the last 1500 lines of system messages, you could see something interesting there.

Have you modified the network configuration in any way?.

This command will show if the RPi is connected to wifi:

Code: Select all

iwconfig wlan0

Return to “Troubleshooting”
