Hdmi no output on pi zero w

Hi guys, this is Carlo.
When I insert my sd card with the latest version of Raspbian (downloaded 28-01-18) on my pi 3 the hdmi output is ok, but when I insert the same sd card on my pi zero w I have not hdmi output.
Why this different behavior between pi 3 and pi zero w?
I have tried to change setting in config.txt, but nothing changed.

Maybe the cable or adapter/convertor that you are using with the RPiZero is faulty?

The cable is the same on pi3 and pi zero w.

The RPi3 has a standard full-size HDMI connection.

The RPiZeroW has a Mini HDMI connection.

Yes of course,
in my cable I can change the connector to switch between hdmi to mini hdmi.
I use this cable:

Have you tested that cable with some other source of a Mini HDMI signal?

Maybe it is faulty when used in its Mini HDMI mode?

looks like pi zero hdmi is somewhat weaker or it is because of the additional mini-HDMI adapter

Is your Pi0in a case?
If yes it is possible that the case is preventing the mini-HDMI connector going all of the way in.
I had that problem and resolved it by shaving some plastic from the end of the mini-HDMI connector.

for some reason it is actually config_hdmi_boost

Hi guys,
I set config_hdmi_boost=11 but nothing changed.
I have also tried to set hdmi_force_hotplug=1 with same result.
I have not other devices where I can test the cable with mini hdmi connector.

I’m using an fvp hdmi cable like this on raspberry pi zero w

But in my monitor doesn’t appear
If I change mini hdmi side adapter with hdmi and use this with my raspberry 3 all works.
I return mini hdmi side adapter becouse I thought was broken. So i bought new mini hdmi side adapter but nothing changed.

Help me!! Please

Yes. I think that also this mini hdmi connector has a problem because with every different cable and connector all works good.
