Connecting to Rasp Pi 2 by SSH

Sun Feb 21, 2016 12:51 pm

Hi! I need some help. I have my raspberry pi 2 (with OPENELEC) connected to my tv LG, and connected to my router. I'm trying to connect by SSH (ussing PUTTY) to my raspberry from my laptop. I've checked the IP address of my raspberry, but I always get the same message from PUTTY: Network Error: Connection refused.

I'm trying to do this to configure the buttons of the LG remote control to use it in KODI.
Thx!!

As mentioned SSH must be enabled in the OpenElec menu.
User: root
Password: openelec

The CEC functions are already enabled by default in the /flash/config.txt file but may not be enabled on your TV. Go to the OSD menu on your TV and enable CEC. Note the CEC function is called different things by different TV manufactures. It is called INLink on my Insigna TV. My remote began working by enabling it on the TV OSD.
Unless specified otherwise my response is based on the latest and fully updated Raspbian Buster w/ Desktop OS.
