Error on mvn exec:java help

Wed Oct 28, 2015 4:20 am

I'm trying to implement the new Alexa software Amazon released. Everything seems to work up until I execute the program, then it seems that Java starts up for a few seconds and then crashes. I get this core dump and I was hoping someone could give suggestions as to how I might get this working. I will also include the link to Amazon's guide as to how to implement this at the bottom if someone wants to try and run it and see if they get the same error.

What you're getting is a JVM crash. I don't know what JVM comes preinstalled, probably an old version of OpenJDK.

Your best bet is to install the latest JDK directly from Oracle.
http://www.rpiblog.com/2014/03/installi ... ry-pi.html explains the process, but you'll need to change the commands a bit as the current version is 1.8.0_65-b17 (download URL: http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java ... flt.tar.gz ).
