Touch screen upside down

Hello there

First of all a few information:
I have a new RPi 2
I also have the 7" touch screen and its display frame
I have successfully installed raspbian (jessie)
everything is up to date.

But It starts up side down. This means I have to flip the whole display to see something without getting headache ;-). As far as I can see the display frame is Poka-yoke built and I cannot put it wrong together.

So long so good because I've managed to flip the screen adding display_rotate=2 in /boot/config.txt.

But...
I want to use the touch screen pi as small music station in front of an amp.
When I start Kodi (regularly installed) the image shows correct (not upside down - because of editing /boot/config.txt) but the touch function is inverted in X and Y.

Does someone have the same issue?
Is it normal that the image shows up upside down at a fresh install? Or is something wrong with my display?

Thank you very much for help/contribution

/skyzem

There are several posts in the RPF Official Display Forum relating to this issue:

This is a well known and well documented problem.

If you really insist on turning the display back the wrong way up you can add

Code: Select all

lcd_rotate=2
to /boot/config.txt

Thank you both!

Replacing display with lcd worked very well :-)
