Can you re-publish your video in any other format? The mpeg won't play on Windows 10 or on Raspbian on my RPi B, I get the audio but not the video.

If you knew the tortuous process I have to use produce a video file at all you would understand when I say "Not easily" ;)

You can convert an mpeg to mp4 with the following command.

ffmpeg -i RubikTouch.mpeg RubikTouch.mp4

Thanks Joan. TBH it's a while since I've produced a video from my older DV camera. My newer camera failed badly to reproduce the colours on the LCD screen. Then it seemed that the Mint I have on my desktop is missing yuvscaler which limited my options for output formats.

I've re-encoded it from the original higher quality file ... http://www.peteronion.org.uk/video/RubikTouch.mp4

This is a superb demo (though having once or twice met Peter, and been shown a little of his work in 3D, I'm not surprised at the quality)

I was also impressed with the https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/cube-solver/ on the front page a fortnight ago.

So how could one combine the two?
One way would be for the cube-solver hardware to be controlled by Peter's touchscreen software - move a slice on-screen, the real cube slice is moved in sync.
Or the other way, build a robot hand to interface with the touchscreen, so the cube-solver software controls Peter's virtual cube.
