Upodate today caused screen to flip 180 degrees.

Thu Sep 24, 2015 10:32 pm

Hello, today I did an update and
libraspberrypi-dev armhf 1.20150923-1
libraspberrypi-bin armhf 1.20150923-1
libraspberrypi0 armhf 1.20150923-1
raspberrypi-bootloader armhf 1.20150923-1

installed.

When I rebooted the screen is now 180 degrees rotated :-( How can I fix this please?

I tried this, it is a nice hack, but the update should not have flipped the screen 180 degrees in the first place......

Rather than the solution described in that linked thread .... try lcd_rotate=2 in config.txt

Looks like it was an undetected mistake that meant that viewing the screen while it was standing on desktop was compromised. It was designed to be viewed the other way up ... hopefully the various case manufacturers will come up with a solution quickly. Pimoroni have said that they are working on something.

That was in the link I posted :shock:

sudo nano /boot/config.txt

Add one of these to the bottom:

display_rotate=0 Normal
display_rotate=1 90 degrees
display_rotate=2 180 degrees
display_rotate=3 270 degrees
display_rotate=0x10000 horizontal flip
display_rotate=0x20000 vertical flip
adieu

But this also flip the touch screen as well, or will the touch features be on the wrong sides now that the display is flipped?

I think you may have misread something. Look more carefully .... lcd_rotate and display_rotate do different things.
