Official Touchscreen seems dead on arrival.

Thu Sep 24, 2015 1:25 am

I went through the moves form the video at the blog, but there's no indication that the touchscreen is receiving any power. Should an LED come on indicating so? The Pi I'm using is the original Model B, I believe, and I `sudo apt-get update ; sudo apt-get upgrade` -ed. Would someone mind troubleshooting with me step by step to see if this is my idiocy or if I need to return the board for a replacement?

Okay... I guess I have to buy another, more modern Pi.
