Turning the display off & on, is this possible?

Wed Sep 23, 2015 1:49 pm

Hi

Just a quick question really regarding the new display. I'm looking at building something with one, but I'd like the ability to blank the screen & wake it up as required from an application? Not just setting the screen to black, but by actually controlling the backlight?

As ideally, I'd like to set a pre-determined time from within an application to turn the display off, but wake it from either an event in an application, or via users touch.

Is this something which can be done? As I can't really find any information on whether it can be.

Cheers

Paul
