No Touch Official Touchscreen Display arch debian jessie

Mon Sep 21, 2015 8:23 pm

Hello,
I know my screen and touch works because it works in Arch (surprisingly)
In Debian, the touch does not work.

I've run rpi-update (and updated the script to goto /boot/firmware )
uname -a is kernel 4.1.7
evtest only shows my mouse and keyboard.

I'm not using Raspbian because i'm trying to stay minimal ( the goal is a X less Qt app just linuxfb and not x11 or xorg )

Thanks

Do you now have any errors from the driver in dmesg?

What is your setup with Arch? I'm was just about to install xfce4 on my RPi 2 archarm install. Would be interested to hear what your setup is before I try and get touch working on Arch.

Pretty basic ArchLinuxARM install.
to get xfce4 to work you'll have to install other things and drivers. don't forget to run pacman -Syy; pacman -Su regularly
I didn't really do any customization to arch, just want i needed to do to get it to work.
I'm now looking at slimming down raspbian due to some compatibility issues with Arch (not only hardware but software to. Arch is like Fedora, bleeding edge), I'm also a Debian guy at heart anyway, or Cent ;-). Work wanted Arch....
