RPi Model B+ and Official Touchscreen Issue

Tue Sep 15, 2015 5:41 pm

Hey all,

I am having issues getting anything to display on the Official Touchscreen that recently came out.

My setup:
RPi Model B+
7" Touch Screen

I have tried to plug in the RPi B+ with HDMI and issue:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

Then reboot and plug in the actual touch display. Nothing is displayed on the touch screen. I also have a RPi 2 that I used to sanity check my wiring and it work flawless. However, all the attempts with the B+ have failed. I've looked into the /boot/config.txt and don't see anything that would cause issues. Is anyone else experiencing this on the B+ model?

It may be that you are experiencing the bug I fixed with the I2C communications two days back, try:

sudo rpi-update

and see if that fixes the problem
