Magpi 47 and the RFID-RC522

Thu Jun 30, 2016 7:26 pm

Hello,

I have had an RFID-RC522 for a while and have never managed to get it working on Jessie and a Pi 3.

The problem I have is this. When I enable SPI and follow the suggested link in the article to install the library I become stuck. I get to the point where I do the first reboot and issue the dmesg | grep spi command, There is no output.

If I run the lsmod command I get:
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsmod

SPI is already loaded and active on your system. I'd guess the MagPi magazine has another erratum.
