magpi magazine.

Mon May 16, 2016 4:03 pm

As a new boy of 88 years of age, who is endeavouring to repel the onslaught of galloping senility by swotting up on the Raspberry PI, may I ask the advice of anyone who subscribes to the Magpi magazine
. Which back issues would help me in my attempt at absorbing the necessary knowledge to move forward.

Indeed there are plenty of parts of MagPi that help. There are also some specials.

As a 72 year old who grew up as a system programmer (starting my career writing Operating systems in 1966 ) I use it heavily.

One that might be a good start is https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi-issue ... ash_v1.pdf which gets you started with the command line essentials.

Good luck ;)

Thank you for your assistance, I must admit that I am finding it rather a lot to take in all at once, but I won't be beaten. perseverance is the answer, goodbye.

You can also check out the projects book, it has a getting started guide in it as well https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/issues/projects-1/
