Special Deals for Mag Pi Issues

Thu Jan 21, 2016 3:06 am

So with the recent release of the MagPi 40 everyone is going crazy to get one. (People are buying them for 50 Dollars!!!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-MagPi-issue ... 1943942807) See the 4th reply for a trick on how to get it for less. viewtopic.php?f=106&t=133201

Getting back on topic, I wanted to know if this was just a special thing that they were doing only for the release of the Pi zero, or if they usually have these giveaways.

Thanks, N

A "Raspberry Pi Inside" sticker?
A strong Brownian Motion producer?

Those are definitely better than a PiZero. I'll meet you for lunch at Milliways.

Hmmm - more vapourware speculation?
Various male/female 40- and 26-way GPIO header for sale here ( IDEAL FOR YOUR PiZero ):

Personally I'm wondering which issue will have the free set of header pins on the front cover, to go with the free Pi Zero from issue 40 and the cable bundle (that omitted them compared to the retail bundle from Pimoroni) from the subscription offer...

I'd be happy if you guys did another Pi Zero giveaway with an upcoming issue. Here in the US I think issue 40 sold out within about 5 minutes. The issue was already about a month late getting over here (which was expected), so it was a month of me not-so-patiently waiting to get my hands on one. I was checking every Barnes and Nobles location in Virginia Beach at least 5 days a week. I finally asked a worker at one of the locations if she knew when issue 40 would be in and she told me it already came in and sold out! I will be damned if I pay the outrageous prices that are being asked on eBay, and AdaFruit has been sold out of the Zero for months now. :x
