Writing data to an SD card or USB drive

Tue Sep 27, 2016 9:31 pm

I'm trying to convert a desktop VB.net program that is currently monitoring a temperature/humidity sensor attached to a Arduino to a Windows 10 IoT / Rapsberry Pi3 combination. The coding will still be written in VB.net because that is what I'm very familiar with.

Currently the data is being written to a text file located on my OneDrive account. This is what I would like to achieve with the new system but would be happy just to be able to write the data to the SD card or a usb drive...just have no idea how to do this at the moment...only picked up the Pi 3 a few days ago so the whole Win 10 IoT / Pi world is new.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

You can just mount the usb and open a file stream on it to start writing/dumping the reading

Return to “Windows 10 for IoT”
