Triggering a Bluetooth transmission when power is detected

Wed Jan 17, 2018 1:07 am

I am beginner to raspberry pi, but have expirence with Arduino. Anyway I designed a auto locking doorknob with a make block robot kit, that I got for my birthday when I was younger. I also have some Sonoff WiFi switches laying around. I was thinking that if I attached a usb cable to the switch and then put that power input into one of the raspberry pi’s pins I could make it so the pi detects power input and then communicates with the make block to trigger the motor. How difficult would this be and would it be easier to use an Arduino. P.S I’m doing this to make it google home accessible
