No mention that the box was metal in the OP.

The box was stated as 11 x 11 cm with no indication of the third dimention.

One way to find out try it out. ;)

Re: Software download

If you are using a model B you can get away with a Phono cable and a scart phono conerter if you are using a B+ you will need a 4 pole jack to get phono to plug into your scart phono adaptor but yes it will work. You will also have fun setting up your screen resolution but its all part of the fun. ;...

Re: 10 inch touchscreen?

At one time the Verified Periferas page http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals on the wiki was being maintained by the community there was a dispute between the Foundation and a supplier. I am given to believe (I am not certain) that it was about this section being abused for advertising. On the ...

I don't know how much gold is used in contacts in the manufacture of the RPi but I do know that gold in curcuitry is subject to a phenomenon called migration. Basically pure gold is actually a relativly plastic substance compared with copper or silver. This is actually one of the reasons it makes a ...

Re: USB Hub on Kickstarter

Cool I like this one as well, I have done the dollar support for this one as well so I can support this Kickstarter as well. ;) The main difference with this one is it's use of the GPIO connection and it's ability to fit in some existing cases I see its downside is its removal of GPIO access and its...

Re: USB Hub on Kickstarter

This Kickstarter has now been funded @ 184% of its goal. The Kickstarter was looking for $15,000 and he has raised $27,708. He now has the hard work to produce the hardware and to set up the on line shop to support follow up sales. ;) This Kickstarter has resulted in just under 600 units in pre paid...

Re: My Raspberry can´t boot now

I once had a similar software report I later discovered (This was on a model "B" BTW) had poped out partway through booting. Thats why I suggested checking this. ;) I can't swear it was exactly the same becuse I ignored it once I figured out the problem. The only refrence I can find to aMule is a fi...

Re: Difference between B and B+

If the pins are standard pitch it's very easy to protect these with a blank insulated jumper. I caught somthing in passing and I can't remember where but there was something about the B+ having a couple of contacts that would alow you to reset the B+ without having to pull the plug after a shut down. Is this a new feature of the B+ or just something I missed on the B or is it a couple of the...

Re: Knock knock, Microsoft is at the door.

I don't think this is Microsofts hype but they are not going to deny it. The RPi is not realy a competitor even if they did make a Pi clone they would have to hevily subsidise it to be any sort of challenge to the Pi and the Pi does not represent a challenge to Microsofts core product range or Opera...
