Re: Help please--New Pi3 B+

Last Saturday....I have 3 Pi's on Stretch and update cycle them on Saturdays. Can't update for the new card since the new card won't boot at all. Just has the rainbow screen with the yellow lightning bolt. It just sits there with the red light blinking and the green one not going.

Re: Heat Sinks on the new 3Bplus?

I'm monitoring a UPS and using it for a Fileserver. The only holdup on the 3b was the eithernet performance, although I would have like USB 3,0. I have heat sinks on the 3b and a standard case from the 2B which is pretty open. I can feel heat coming off of it though.

Pi 4 wish list.

Hi, I'm using 3 Pi's in my home network for monitoring UPS's, and one is a file server with two 4 TB drives attached. My wish list for the Pi4 would be for gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 ports. As a file server, it actually beats my two Dlink Dns-323's with processing power, but the slower Ethernet an...

Finally got it all going with Audacious, Pulse Audio Volume Control, and Bluezman (Did not have to update firmware, using Debian Jessie and the Pi3 out of the box. I do update Jessie at least once a week.). Had questions at first, but finally the light went on. Note: Once it show you are paired and...

Try this to get it running: https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/bluetooth-audio-raspberry-pi-3/ What works for audio should work for the keyboard. I was getting device not available till I did the agent on and the default agent. After it pairs and is trusted, you have to tell it to connect. I find my ...

Firewall problems..

Didn't see this addressed: Loaded Pidora..all ok and the firewall was ok. Then using Yum Ext, updated system. Firewall is now thoroughly broken.:

pidora firewall-config:612:warning couldn't register with the accessibility bus, etc

Can't find a reason for it.
Ideas?

Hi, For Raspian: I have two network fileservers and have a question: On my Desktop Debian box, the file manager show the network. On the Pi I can get to the Network with smb:/fileserver/share, but can't find where it is mounted to use with command lines in a terminal. Is there a different file manag...

Re: Anyone else having problems loading Apache2?

Thanks, I'll try that tomorrow. On the Pi, it's not a real biggie since it is easy to start over, but it took me most of a day to get cups to work with my Canon printer and I'm not sure exactly how I got it going..... I am actually a windows expert, but love playing with different versions on Linux ...

Using HDMI to a TV.

Hello, I have a new mod B and had it load the RaspDebian OS. I tried to connect the pi to my Visio TV thru the HDMI port. (I normally use an HDMI to vga adaptor to a 17" monitor). I could not get the TV to detect it till I changed config.txt to the Boost=4 and then it was eratic and died when the GU...
