Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@poing: Maybe it helps if you reboot the Pi, empty the cash of your browser and reload the page.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Update: It's now possible to view the full sesor area as preview with 15 fps. I added a new button "change mode to image". In image mode, you can't record videos, but you see the right preview for the images. The update is online, so just run the installer again and let me know if it works.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@manuka: Thanks, I fixed the typo.

@robm99: You can add the javascript-command

Code: Select all

setInterval("send_cmd('im');", 1000)
to the web-Interface for example to take a picture every second. RaspiMJPEG itself hasn't implemented timelapse at the moment.

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I updated the installer, so logging for cam_pic.php and for status_mjpeg.php (reloaded all 3 seconds by website to get status) is disabled now. Just download and run the installer again to get the result. Thanks, jbeale for the instructions!

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello everybody It's been a while, I'm pretty busy at the moment. My Pi was running for two weeks without any problems, so I guess the Interface is stable now, except somebody else made other experiences. I had the same problem with false triggered motion detection in dark environment. Fortunately I...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, I'm back from my holidays! I updated the interface with a few new features: - Trigger video record by motion detection - Timestamp added to filename - New autostart-option: Motion detection To update, run the instructions in my first post and check if "raspimjpeg --version" and "/var/www/Vers...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

First of all, thanks a lot for your testings! I found a memory leak in my code (I used asprintf without free) and fixed it and I'm running a long-time test now. The new software is already online, if you want to update your RPi just go through the steps in my first post as usual. Additionally I adde...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I found a bug in my code, with the new update my interface needs much less cpu load and nearly nothing (0-0.3%) in idle state, so the idle autostart option is very useful now. Just run the installer again as described in the first post. There were some questions, why the live-feed gets stuck sometim...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I made a completely new installer, now you can change the autostart behaviour very easy and remove the whole interface if you don't want it anymore. My first post is updated, so you can get all information there, just run the instructions again to update everything. Additionally the settings for the...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Sorry, I forgot to update the installer itself so that it is able to replace the old files, if you download and run the installer now, it should work: rm RPi_Cam_Browser_Control_Installer.sh wget http://grustu.ch/share/rpi_cam/RPi_Cam_Browser_Control_Installer.sh chmod u+x RPi_Cam_Browser_Control_In...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Update: It's now possible to halt and restart the process from the website. So you can release the camera temporarily for raspistill/raspivid. To get the update, just run the installer again.

Re: RaspiMJPEG

I haven't ever used mjpeg-streamer, so if the process is running and it doesn't work, I can't help. Maybe anybody else?

But if you use mjpeg-streamer to show the stream on a website, there is a better solution here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 43&t=63276

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@jbeale: Thanks a lot for your testing! I updated the installer and now the memory for chrome shouldn't grow anymore. Internet Explorer still doesn't really work because usually a plugin for MJPEG in IE is needed, so if someone want's to do the work, feel free and please post here, but I work with L...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

@andlinux: just append a &-sign to the second line too and add both lines to /etc/rc.local before the exit-command. Attention: rc.local runs your commands as root. @gordon77: no problem, here's how you do it in a shell, so you can adopt it for python. 1. Create pipe named PIPE with command "mknod PI...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

Yes, the preview-output of the camera is connected to a image-resizer and then to a jpg-encoder and the video-output is connected to a h264-encoder. RaspiMJPEG receives commands with a Unix-Pipeline to start/stop video capturing (1920x1080, 30fps) or even take a full-res snapshot (5M), because there...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

Thanks again for your work on the great program! To speed downloads for those getting the github source, you might consider removing at least /userland/host_applications/linux/apps/hello_pi/hello_video/test.h264 which is a 31 MB video file (part of "Big Buck Bunny") and is not relevant to the Raspi...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

Just a little information: I've written an installer that installs raspimjpeg and appache with a little website on Raspbian, so all you have to do is to run the installer (shell-script) and you'll be able to see the camera preview on a website (640x360 px, 30 fps). I'm going to write a tutorial and ...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

Have you enabled camera-support (http://www.raspberrypi.org/camera)? Are you running the newest version of raspbian? Maybe a soft- or firmwareupdate might help:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo rpi-update

Re: RaspiMJPEG

MJPEG allows to stream the camera to nearly every browser, including them on mobilephones. H264-livestreams in HTML5 work with m3u-playlists and only the newest browsers support it and there is a big delay (more than a second), where as mjpeg has a very small delay because it always loads the last c...

Re: RaspiMJPEG

Yes, the idea is to use e.g. /dev/shm, otherwise the sd-card can't handle it together with the recording of the 1080p-stream. I updated the github with my new version, it is now possible to capture images with "im" as pipe-command at the full resolution, the preview just hangs on while capturing and...
