Re: RaspiMJPEG

Well, if you find the time, something really useful would be a push-request for a circular buffer in RaspiMJPEG. I imagine something like this: - It's always active - The buffered time can be configured through the pipe - If a "ca 1" - cmd is received, the contnet of the buffer will be included into...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Off-topic: this thread is getting larger and more chaotic with every new post. Does anybody know how long a thread has to be, until the moderators make a new subtopic or the like ;)? And I see there are a lot of ideas, patches, etc. So it would be great if some of these end up in the wiki or as a pu...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello everybody New year - new commits ;) Thanks to cookejames, the interface has now a nice new bootstrap-look. I tried to do my best to make the code still as simple as possible, you only need npm and grunt if you want to change the design, javascript is still plain-text. There is also a "fullscre...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@Ebass: You are right, this is a bug, I fixed it in the new version, if you update the boxing should work now. @dbarr: Thank you! No problem with the copyright, good luck with your project ;). @slabua: Thanks a lot for your push request, I merged your changes. @Nicoinn: Why do you say that it's poss...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@Humpfldump: Sorry, but since the PiCam has no microphone, I don't think so.

@slabua: That's a good idea, I added a "Default"-Button to restore the default setting.

@rahlquist: I added the option to turn the background on and off via config-file and web-interface

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@slabua: I merged your request with the following changes: 1. I added your name into the installer as a thank you for your work 2. I removed the possibility to set the installation-path with a parameter, because there is a high risk that the users forget to use the remove- or start-command with the ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@slabua: Your commit #4 is very nice, I just have a few questions: 1. Why should raspimjpeg be moved to /usr/bin/raspimjpeg? 2. Line 96: why is the source path of the cp-command "www/$rpicamdir/*" and not "www/*" ? 3. Why did you rename the files "etc/apache2/sites-available/default", "etc/raspimjpe...

I wrote an addon that allows to control Pi-Pan and Pi-Light from the Web Interface (with buttons or the keyboard). Re: RaspiMJPEG

RaspiMJPEG >= 4.0 uses a config-file for all settings. Just save and modify my default-configfile ( https://raw.githubusercontent.com/silvanmelchior/RPi_Cam_Web_Interface/master/etc/raspimjpeg/raspimjpeg ) at /etc/raspimjpeg and then run raspimjpeg without any parameters. Or even simpler: install my...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Update: 4.1 I found the bug, motion detection should work now for different resolutions To update, run the following commands: ./RPi_Cam_Web_Interface_Installer.sh install ./RPi_Cam_Web_Interface_Installer.sh start If it still doesn't work, empty the cache of your browser. Still no success? Ensure ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

@jbeale: Well, I suppose if you need motion detection at night you need to reconfigure motion to capture images instead of videos, because with 1fps in night mode you can't record videos (and if you do, it changes to 25fps and you won't see anything). @jarrah31: I changed the framerate of the previe...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Yes, with the old version, I requested 30fps from the cam but it only delivered ca 27fps as I measured. MP4Box made 25fps out of it and so it was a bit slow motion. Now (v3.3) I request 25fps and get exactly 25fps, as measured and I even added "-fps 25" to the MP4Box command, so this problem should ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

UPDATE I fixed the exposure settings-bug, so night-mode etc should work now in preview. Note that for the video recording, a fixed framerate of 25fps is set, so if you want to record a dark room you won't see a lot, where as in preview mode it might be that only 1fps is produced and so you'll see m...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

UPDATE It's now possible to record videos with the full FOV (1296x976 px) or a wider FOV (1296x730 px) than standard. Of course is a 1080p video capture with the standard FOV still possible. The desired FOV can be chosen in the settings. By the way, motion detection is now also available for the fu...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Update Thanks to the new firmware-update, it's now possible to view the full FOV-preview with 30fps. Recording videos is still not possible because the highest resolution would be 1296x976 and so I'm going to wait until the firmware supports 1080p full FOV 30fps. To use this new feature, a soft- an...

@jonar: Thanks for your idea with the github. The problem is that I don't have access to it and to be honest I don't really like it if I have to do a push-request do publish updates for my own project. I hope you understand this. But jarrah31 is creating a wiki at the moment where anyone can publish...
