TV Hat LED

Hi,

Is there a way to turn off the TV HATs power indicator via software or do I have to go old skool and get the blu-tack out ?

TIA,
Me.

Re: Supertuxkart on Raspberry Pi

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply, its appreciated. The driver is enabled and appears to be working OK, glxgears runs at 60fps, and oolite plays fine.. From my config.txt dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d gpu_mem=256 Should datagraphical_restrictions.xml have been edited before I compiled the game ? EDIT:- I think...

Re: Supertuxkart on Raspberry Pi

Hi, I've been looking at compiling this, the first thing I found was that with make -j4 I ran out of memory, even with -j3 it would start to swap, -j2 worked OK. Having compiled and installed, when I run the game I get a notification that my OpenGL is too old, it needs ES 3.0 or better.. Have I done...

Re: Raspbian on Pi 2 as VPN

One question I would ask is what makes you trust a VPN provider any more than your ISP with regards to security ? Covering your tracks, hiding activity yes, added protection with regards to banking and shopping, I'm to be convinced.. Botton line: unless you want to hide your traffic from your ISP (...

Re: Raspbian on Pi 2 as VPN

Hi, Just a note on speeds, I have a Pi2 running OpenVPN, the same Pi also doubles as a ADS-B receiver, because of the location I have to connect via WiFi, I'm using the new Official Pi Dongle for this. I typically see 14 - 15Mbps throughput on the Pi with the CPU at about 50%, I would suspect that w...

Hi,

May or may not be what you are looking for, have a google for ZeroView, I found the same as yourself, slim pickings.

I have one of these mounted on the living room window, ideal for me !

Re: New firmware for the official wireless dongle

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. It turns out it was an unrelated network issue, I was a bit thrown as I was seeing poor speeds regardless of what access point I used, however the access points were fed from the same source that was on the fritz. I have been running the new firmware 24x7 since Thu...

This is for anyone using this dongle https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-usb-wifi-dongle I'm asking for any reports back, good or bad. Re: Fixed my zero w system lockups when using the camera

Hi, I have a ZeroW mounted on a ZeroView camera mount suck on my living room window, its powered from a prehistoric 1A Siemens phone charger on 2M of flex and I clock up weeks of up-time, the only lockups I have encountered are where the camera flex has moved a bit. My install is based in the "lite"...

Re: .PNG and .JPEG photo capture performance - GPU overclocking

Hi,

An off hand comment as I really am not an expert, but could you shoot in a "RAW" and post process the files later.

That would to a degree lessen the amount of processing, however you could run into issues shifting more data about, slow writes to SD for example.....

Just a thought.

can you please let me know how did you install the OpenVPN? a link to a tutorial would be most helpful. http://www.pivpn.io/ <- If you just want to get something that works, this is fantastic, the only downside is that because of the automation it does not teach you much.
