Re: New firmware for the official wireless dongle

Hi, We have a new beta release of wireless dongle firmware. This is for anyone using this dongle https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-usb-wifi-dongle I'm asking for any reports back, good or bad. If we find no regressions, we will incorporate this in to our main Raspbian release. I trie...

Re: Fixed my zero w system lockups when using the camera

Hi, I have a ZeroW mounted on a ZeroView camera mount suck on my living room window, its powered from a prehistoric 1A Siemens phone charger on 2M of flex and I clock up weeks of up-time, the only lockups I have encountered are where the camera flex has moved a bit. My install is based in the "lite"...

Re: .PNG and .JPEG photo capture performance - GPU overclocking

Hi,

An off hand comment as I really am not an expert, but could you shoot in a "RAW" and post process the files later.

That would to a degree lessen the amount of processing, however you could run into issues shifting more data about, slow writes to SD for example.....

Just a thought.

Re: OpenVPN - Clients unable to see network devices

can you please let me know how did you install the OpenVPN? a link to a tutorial would be most helpful. http://www.pivpn.io/ <- If you just want to get something that works, this is fantastic, the only downside is that because of the automation it does not teach you much. HI 6by9, Thanks for taking the time to reply ! LOL yea I suppose it is a fair way off the usual path.. Like I said I previously I thought I would check the existing wiring before I went too far, I had in my mind exactly that 1 at 250V and 2 & 3at 0V. When I saw the readings it threw me and made me s...

Hi, It is more than likely the pixel size of the source jpeg images, I had the same issue. gst-launch is great on the Pi because it uses the GPU to encode the movie file and is quite fast because of this, however it has very specific requirements for the size of the source files, if those are not me...
