Got my Pi up and running with the standard Debian "squeeze" build and am using a 32GB SD card no problem. However I noticed that the install has not used the whole card and there is still 28GB sitting there not belonging to a partition. Whats the best way to resize the existing partitions and which ...

Re: First impressions - Slow, Scary & unfriendly

Re: First impressions - Slow, Scary & unfriendly

I have not tried Chromium browser yet, but Midori crashed on certain web pages and if I based my opinion on the performance of Midori I would not be very happy! :) Sadly it seems that most people I know (family, work colleagues, friends etc) define computer performance/speed/power by what happens in...

I don't understand how people would buy the Pi at this stage and expect a Windows 7 Core i7/i5 experience. Maybe the general thumbs up from the current owners made the non techie people think "ooo this seems to be a dirt cheap PC that I can use for my web browsing and gaming" then quickly realise it...

Re: What was your first computer?

A lovely beautiful Amstrad CPC464 with colour monitor. Got it in either 1984 or 1985, need to check.

Christmas morning, went back to my bedroom and oh my god there was the machine all setup and running Roland in the Caves!

Thus my career in IT was set.

<t>Hello there!<br/> <br/> I'm a software consultant in the security and endpoint management world. I'm a big retro computer/console collector with a rather impressive collection. I could easily start my own museum! I was an Amstrad man back in the day, but always loved the Commodore 64 too.<br/> <b...
