Re: PiFBA released - Final Burn Alpha arcade emulator

I noticed some larger roms like Garou and SNK vs Capcom have performance stutters (i.e. frame drops below 60fps). Is there any way to alleviate this problem or are these games going to always have issues? My current setup is:

ARM=1000
CORE=250
SDRAM=500
GPURAM=128
OVERVLT=4

Re: EmulationStation - an emulator front-end

Aloshi, will the new ES alow you to launch certain emulators on a per game basis at all? Some emulators run some games better than others. The only way around this at the minute would be to create a completely separate system folder and new launch command in the es_systems.cfg

Then type cd RetroPie-Setup , then type sudo ./retropie_setup.sh . This should take you to the setup script. In this script if ...

Hi Nils, Could you still add MAME and Neo Geo themes for people who want to manually input game information? Neo Geo is one of my most played systems! :D Okay i will do them. I have to vectorize the MAME logo because all of the vector-based ones from the net are too inaccurate for my taste. Greatly...

Hi Welshy,

Do you think it might be worth adding the Quake 1 darkplaces engine to this thread from autonomous? It runs like a dream even on stock speeds!

Hi Welshy. If I used this emulator would I be able to load a game image directly without any keyboard input? For example I am wanting to create a command line in Emulation Station so I can boot straight into a game using a Xbox360 pad.

No problem :D

Also, I would recommend using the Genesis-GX Core for Master System as its has better compatibility and perfromance with games (example: Ys: The Vanished Omens) in my opinion.

KitchUK: RetroArch is 1.0.0.2 now, but forger about SNES emulation on the Pi. There's no CPU power to do the SPC700 right plus the custom video hardware. The SNES isn't that powerful, but the way it's designed, it's a pain to emulate. People is using an OLD Snes9X version with broken audio, but I w...

Re: [PiSNES] Config won't work. Help?

First off, the RetroPie image doesn't seem to include the .cfg from a fresh SD card install. You have to download PiSnes from source again for it to appear. Looks like you already did this. This problem seems to occur if you are editing a file over from your PC or Mac and Emulation Station is still ...

The Xbox 360 pad should work fine with retropie with using xboxdrv and setting up the script in rc.local.

Re: NEW: Darkplaces Quake engine up and running on Raspberry

Just a tip, I noticed if you turn off the RT Lighting and change BPP to 16 in the options you can squeeze a couple more FPS out of the game (I'm using 720p).

I currently playing around with the options and commands to see if there is anything extra I can do to increase performance.
