NEW: webapp for Screen + Speakers + keyboard sharing in the browser (no plugin required)

From a recent tutorial at: https://www.linux-projects.org/uv4l/tutorials/rpi-webapp-screen-audio-keyboard-sharing/ Here is an example of how to configure the Raspberry Pi to serve a web app which allows the Raspberry Pi to share its screen and speakers (“what you hear”) to the PC browser. Additional...

Re: Live Audio Only (no video) to web

I've tried various ways of streaming audio directly to HTTP/HTML but they all have to much latency. I'm currently trying UV4L but I'm lost and can only get a static image with WebRTC. See this tutorial using UV4L. Follow the instructions to disable video. No latency. https://www.linux-projects.org/...

How do I stream something that I play on the raspberry (e.g. mp3), just the audio and just to test whether this works at all?
Check this tutorial, it should do what you need:

Re: Stereoscopic camera capture (for COMPUTE MODULE) - now implemented (2014).

I am really excited on UV4L, especially its display server. It allows to remotely control HDMI display of Raspberry even when no HDMI monitor is connected. Even raspivid preview window overlay gets correctly displayed in browser if on: You may be interested in this new webapp. It allows to share th...

Re: uv4l audio setup

first of all, the command line seems to be broken, you probably meant uv4l -f --auto-video_nr --sched-rr --driver dummy --enable-server=yes --server-option=--enable-webrtc-audio=yes or just uv4l -f --auto-video_nr --driver dummy secondly, what's the output of: arecord –list-pcms anyway it seems the ...

Can you explain how you got the 1640x1232 video to work? The driver raspicam always throws a warning "Invalid height: max. for specified encoding is 1080" and crops to 1640x1080. I tried with additional parameters like "--profile high --level 4.2 --custom-sensor-config 4" aswell but no change. With...

I actually made it using uv4l uvc driver. The maximum resolution that can stand the zero is 320x240 30fps. It makes the CPU goes to 50%. 640x480 is too high.
use webrtc with h264 turned on a to make make use of the hardware encoder of the rpi to save some cpu %.

I have a video stored on my raspberry pi. Is there a way I can view said video on another laptop without transferring the file? The raspidisp driver of UV4L can do that with minimal latency as shown in this demo: https://youtu.be/wthS8TPk2DE it can capture audio too. Installation instructions: http...

The raspidisp driver of UV4L allows you to capture HMDI-out by creating a video4linux2 input device:

UV4L is being used in many telepresence projects. It also supports bidirectional webrtc data channels which could be used to write/read the GPIOs from the browser. More informations at https://linux-projects.org.

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on RPI3b+ error

To generate an edid file use something like

Code: Select all

sudo get-edid | xxd -p > edid.txt
get-edid can be installed with the read-edid package

I suggest that you test with the 3B first before moving on to the 3B+

set the verbosity=8 in the config file to produce more logging

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on RPI3b+ error

The communication over I2C looks fine. If no signal is detected, check that your source is active. You might be required to pass a proper EDID to UV4L with the option: --tc358743-edid-file arg read edid from given file in hex format (you can add it to the config file). There is a command to produce ...
