The GPU memory was already set to 128.
hard to tell. check the power supply and the give kernel output.

Re: CPU loading with UV4L (WebRTC)

Set the memory split to 128M in raspi-config and retry to see if it still hangs. With audio processing it takes more CPU, that's expected.

Yes I'm going to the WebRTC page:

https://192.168.0.101:8080/stream/webrtc
then there is a checkbox to force the use of the H264 hardware encoder which should keep the CPU load at minimum.

I need to create a custom web page on a RPI to have the same functionality as the first option of the UV4L home page "http://{RPi IP Address}:8080/stream/webrtc" How can I make a call (Video and Audio) to RPI from the web page using javascript? 1. download the source of the (single) page from "http...

Any idea? I have personally tried to run that tutorial and also enabled the HTTPS as you you seemed to do from your config file and everything worked as expected with or without HTTPS. If you see no video, probably your browser does not support the H264 codec which is set in the code used in the tu...

Re: UV4L - No www folder

There is no "www" folder under the "/var" folder! If you want UV4L to run your custom web app, you generally have to properly specify those options starting with --www-* in the configuration file or via command line. For detailed informations on these options, please read the uv4l-server manual. Th...

You can eventually run and develop your custom application through the UV4L RESTful API:

We are trying to find a good way to display it with no lags. We need to have a High quality display. If you know a way or something that we use on raspberry to display it better I will be happy to know it. If you want to mirror the PC screen from a browser (plugin-free) to the Rpi display, you can ...

Just thought I'd revive this thread to see if anyone has tried going composite to HDMI with one of those cheap converters and then HDMI to CSI2 with the B100/B101 boards from Auvidea?
The B101 is supported by UV4L:

Re: Stream my cable tv over internet, via raspberry.

My thought exactly..is raspi's hdmi port input with only a driver?or do I need a special add on? I was unclear, probably. I mentioned the "TC358743" meaning that you can use a "TC358743"-based capture board like the B101 + the UV4L driver Rpi driver for it. It's the simplest solution which comes to...

The following should fix everything: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install uv4l-tc358743-extras double check "tc3...

uv4l seems complicated. does it require using webrtc? we don't really want to view on a webpage or through a webpage. just a straight one-to-one av connection. is this possible? how might we do this? I can't seem to get this to work with a B101 and a Pi3. I keep getting "Remote I/O Error". I have tried many different changes of the raspicam config file (but, most importantly setting -tc358743:yes). I have ensured that both the Camera and I2C are enabled. I am not sure what else to try. Re: UV4l, USB Audio Card and Janus

Nobody? Could it be that the bad audio is due to a wrong samplerate of the audio card? you have to configure the audiocard samplerate. If yes, how? It's very likely because of the poor sample rate that you are using by default. UV4L has an option to specify the recording device properties to use fr...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

No disrespect to UV4L2, but this is NOT using any upstream kernel code. It is a closed source userspace library. It's also using the rawcam component that is known to have a bug that leads to locking up the Gpu. As far as I can tell, the firmware code is as closed as UV4L. You are right in saying t...

I wonder how high up the resolution chart it can go in the real world? Re: buffer callback does not get called

You could try enabling all the trace within MMAL. There's a environment variable you can set, or I normally edit userland interface/mmal/core/mmal_logging.c and set static VCOS_LOG_LEVEL_T mmal_log_level = VCOS_LOG_TRACE; Combine that with NOT setting the MMAL_CONNECTION_FLAG_TUNNELLING flag on you...

Re: buffer callback does not get called

I couldn't say why rawcam->isp fails to deliver buffers. Control of the CSI2 source is obviously up to you, so are you certain that you have enabled the source correctly? There is a known issue in rawcam that can lock up the GPU. It will get addressed at some point, but neither rawcam nor isp are w...

buffer callback does not get called

HI, we have very simple pipeline of two tunnelled MMAL components: rawcam->isp. In some rare circumstances, the buffer callback does not get called as expected after sending the buffer to the output port of the ISP component and the stream stalls until you deliberately disable the port and try to di...
