How can I control my Raspberry Pi wirelessly?

I want to control my Raspberry Pi from my Android or iPhone, but I have no idea how. That is, I can do SSH and commands and connect to my Raspberry Pi, but I want my Android/iPhone to send commands when it is tilted, or touched in a certain place. I've seen some people do it with a remote control ca...

I Need Ten People To Look At My New Minecraft Pi Book

I just wrote a 24-page manual called Minecraft Pi: Introduction. It's all about how to start programming Minecraft on the Raspberry Pi for kids. By the end of the book you will be able to make things like a utility that clears areas and a program that lets you "walk on air." I need 10 people to give...

Re: Is the RPi Logo Copyrighted?

When I'm done with the book, I'm gonna send a copy to the Raspberry Pi people, and ask if I can put the book on Amazon.

Is the RPi Logo Copyrighted?

I am creating an eBook on Raspberry Pi, and I was just wondering if there is any copyright reason that says I can't include the Raspberry Pi logo? Here is my book cover: Image

Playing music?

Okay, I've searched all over online, and could not find anything that helps. I want to be able to play, pause, stop, and skip music with Python. I am trying to make my next program, a media player with buttons. Can someone help? I tried using mpg123, but it cannot pause music.

Console Cables?

What are console cables used for? I got one in my Adafruit kit. I've used up everything except that in my Passcode project (More about that on the Raspberry Pi blog!).

Re: I need help with GPIO pushbuttons!

Thanks everyone! And my problem was that I did not know how to set up the buttons on my breadboard, not the code.

I need help with GPIO pushbuttons!

I am trying to read push button input, but every time it always returns 0. Can someone show me the layout on a breadboard for how to connect the push buttons, and the code to read the input? I have searched everywhere, and cannot find out how to do it. Again, pictures are preferred!
