Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Hi,

you need to add in

/etc/CODESYSControl.cfg

[CmpWebServer]
WebServerPortNr=8081

for example if you want to change it to 8081

GPU mailbox interrupt stops after several days

Hi, in our application we cyclically (once a minute) talk to the GPU/mailbox ( via "/dev/char_dev"). we open and close the handle every time, after some days running the GPU interrupt gets stuck and one read (via ioctl) does not return properly, in dmesg I can see this: [35401.645314] "echo 0 > /pro...

Re: Allen Bradley comm.

hi, you might try the CODESYS plc on the pi, there is a webvisualisation included and Ethernet/IP (scanner) is supported. this is how you set it up in general: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MeQBfQObgk and this is how to set up Ethernet/IP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrV7laAJkDk Regards ranpit...

Re: Raspberry Pi to PLC interface

Hi, the only possibility which I see at the moment is to use CODESYS and Raspberry Pi plc http://store.codesys.com/codesys-control-for-raspberry-pi-sl.html this run for 2h in demo mode full, sure could be licensed. The profinet master will be released to 3.5SP6 version which is scheduled for end of ...

Re: Read Micrologix log files via EtherNet/IP?

Hi,
you could give this a try with CODESYS.
This makes the pi to a plc which support Ethernet / IP Scanner.

Hi,
for me the solution I found here:
http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/qu ... d-ethernet
now starting of ethercat communication with CODESYS does not switch off wlan0 communication.
For me this is solved.
Thanks for point me to ifplugd.

Wlan disconnects if load on eth0 occure (Ethercat)

Hi, there is a problem with Pi B+ and Wlan / Wifi connected to USB (this scenario works well with model B Pi) Use case: Ethernet port is connected to Ethercat (would think this happen too on high load with two eth0 and wlan0 connections - to be proved) wlano0 is connected for example with EDIMAX or ...

Hi,
maybe an option could be to use CODESYS plc on the Pi, to connect the other plc's
even the historical trend is available see that example here:

Re: CONFIG_PREEMPT_RT on Raspberry Pi

For me it is not really clear why with xenomai we see 40-60us jitter and with PREEMPT_RT around 650us,
would prefer to use PREEMPT_RT but in that case this is not really possible...
Any explanations so far?
Thanks!

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Hello, The etherCat module of "etherlabs" works fine on the raspberry pi ! Even without RTAI Kernel ! Of course if you want short bus time, by ex. for motion control, you should port RTAI Kernel on the raspberry pi... I test it with beckhoff EK1100 EthercatBus coupler and with EL1819 2 x 8 digital ...

hi, using a 3.5.7 Kernel and Xenomai 2.6.1patch facing the following problems; if there is a high load on ethernet communication, the jitter increase, we see every. I would say 10s a peak of almost 8ms-10ms or even more, nomally the jitter for the cyclic task is 40us-60s in worst case and preatty st...
