Re: how to change the irq priority for nic / eth0

Hi, I need to have higher prio because we lose ethercat frames on receiving because the ethercat master is running in a prio/Task context higher than the irq's are handled. This is what I know and I try to change. So i check which is the usb iqr by cat /proc/interrupts and then try to change the pri...

Hi,
the CODESYS plc on Raspberry PI could be
ProfinetController or Profinet Device... so you have the choice how to connect to your Siemens control unit.

Hi,
from my experiance pican is not very reliable on high busload or/and many slaves.
So if you have the option I would choose doein this by Ethercat/Canopen Gateway - EK1100 and EL6751.
This works reliable..

Hi,
you could use the CODESYS plc on raspberry, this gives you the possibility to access symbols by a OPC Client.
->on the Pi plc an OPCUA Server is embedded in the plc runtime.

Hi,
an option would be to use CODESYS on Raspberry Pi,
OPCUA is supported (Embedded OPCUA Server in the plc runtime).
It is possible to access tags/symbols by an OPCUA Client and set for example Outputs or read Inputs (GPIO's)

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Hi rotemse,
you find the Debian package here:
"c:\Users\<yourwindowsUserName>\CODESYS Control for Raspberry PI\codesyscontrol_arm_raspberry_V3.5.7.x.deb"
You could deploy this to the Pi via CODESYS 'Update Pi Command'

or manual install by dpkg....

Re: Turn Raspberry Pi into a P.L.C (Programable Logic Contro

Hi,
there is nothing to configure in Raspbian.
Only install the Debian package which contains the CODESYS runtime to the Raspbian,
that's all.
You have the choice on using the ethercat master on an separate Network (for example usb-nic)
or use the onboard. both is possible.

Hi,

yes this is possible,
you need to add your device to /etc/CODESYSControl.cfg (if you have ttyUSB0)
you need to add the following:

[SysCom]
Linux.Devicefile=/dev/ttyUSB

Hi,

if you use the CODESYS Developmentsystem and the CODESYS PI plc runtime,
this is possible.
Pi could act as Ethernet IP scanner.
Just type CODESYS into the forum serach field and you will find some helpful how-to links where to get it etc.
