Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Great list! Xmille is a card game. The goal is to hit the finish line before your opponent by using speed cards. I addition you may restrict your opponent by using car crash cars, speed limit cards etc. To resolve them there are cards that fix those limitations. To start you need as step 1 click th...

Redirecting bash input and output?

Hello. I'd like to create a program that runs in the text-based, no-graphics mode of the Pi that allows you to see and manage multiple shells at once. So, you might have one on the left, one on the right, or four at once, one at each corner of the screen. The main thing I'd like to know is - how can...

Qemu on the B was OK (ish), so it should run better with the B+ (but not by much).

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Try un-overclocking it and giving the GPU/CPU a 50/50 share (512MB, 512MB). If all else fails, and you have a spare SD card, then try re-installing the latest version of Raspbian.

Is port surfing "allowed"?

So I was reading an old book from the days when the internet was still text-based, and it was discussing port-surfing, e.t.c. To get straight to the point, is harmless port-surfing where you are doing nothing against the law illegal?

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Well, one step closer to success. I would try to increase the amounf of RAM that the GPU has, as above mentioned by Henrik42. If you have a Pi B rev 2+,and are running it from the console (which I guess you are), then just run it 50-50 (i.e: 256MB & 256MB either way), and see if that helps.

Re: R-Pi MMORPG Community Project (UNDERWAY/NEEDS MORE HELP)

I'd love to help - count me in! Wouldn't it be more effective to have some sort of "cluster" of Pis, or even a normal desktop PC, for initial testing purposes? Stuff could be prototyped in Python, and written up in C/C++.

That's a bummer. My Pi is temporarily out -of-action, so I'm afraid I can't help right now. Have you tried building it from source?

Neutron stars on the other hand, are the left over star after a supernova :) Or thats what my astronomy teac...

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

Dosbox (as far as I know) is just apt-get. A lot of games should run a lot faster with the Pi 2. Descent is a good idea, but you have to buy the datafiles (a couple of dollars from gog), and someone ported it to the Pi, but I don't know where it is. Still, sounds good though :-)

But why now?
The only things they have kept are the old MS-DOS DLL icons (I think), and the mouse-CD icon you get when you put in a disk.

Re: Turn your handwriting into a font!

Yeah. Like a translation font - hey, that's a great idea! English to Dwarfish runes from The Lord Of The Rings! Woo! I'll get onto it tomorrow. I made a PDF document that lets you translate English into LOTR runes, but I'm afraid it's too big for attaching. I'll turn it into a font (probably) tomorr...
