Re: Intel leaving mobile?

What about the skylake processors? From Wikipedia:
Skylake is the codename used by Intel for a processor microarchitecture under development and due to launch in 2015 as the successor to the Broadwell architecture.

Re: Please recommend me a SoC

Would Tegra 3 accommodate with my requirements? They've used it in Ouya. Nvidia Tegra K1 looks good like a good (and powerful) option, but with the development board costing ~£200, you may want to look at something like Samsung. They have an 8-CORE (...) behemoth of an SoC, and if you want a develo...

Well, if this is to do with the Pi, then try posting this in the General Discussion forum. I'm afraid I can't help you, but someone there might ;)

Re: Android ART runtime on 4.4+

My friend tried switching on his LolliPop Nexus 4, and the option wasn't there, so it may be running it by default. It certainly has affected my battery. It's there in the developer menu which is hidden. Go to general -> about device. On that screen tap build number 6 times. Have you tried tapping ...

Re: Android ART runtime on 4.4+

Oh no, he had the developer menu enabled, but the runtime option wasn't there. Odd, considering it's Google's flagship phone. But, considering that Google had been developing ART for 2 years (apparently), they most likely would switch it eventually, as mobile phones become more powerful, with more m...

Using CPUZ, I just realised that my phone alternates the CPU frequency and the amount of CPU cores being used. Never though of it working that way. Clever!

Re: ATX PSU

I have to agree with pluggy here. Plus, I don't even know if the Pi can cope with the current that an ATX psu shoves out. I would stick to the standard micro-usb supply for now.

Android ART runtime on 4.4+

Hello. I was wondering whether anyone here has tried the ART runtime on their Android device? I switched to it from Dalvik, and have seen some performance improvements, but I was wondering if the battery life is affected in any way.

The Mystery Of Banana Island (I think it's called that). It was one of the first and best graphical-adventure games that ever came out!

Re: GAMES LIST: Games That Work On The Pi

We're nearing the 100000 mark! Anyway, I tried compiling the PCE emulator that you can find on the side of the page for the online PCE-JS emulator (link to github). There is a .A archive thing that it doesn't like. Something about the archive having "no index" (I think). Considering I know nothing a...

Re: This is awesome - everyone should try it!

It looks to be an emulated Macintosh Plus computer, that runs in a browser window. A pretty neat trick! It feels sluggish (on my PC) by modern standards, but it may actually be not far off the original hardware. I have used one of those computers, but that was a long time ago. It works OK with an i...
