Some good news, Google are sending a speaker and participant to the event. We are also picking up internal CERN speakers.

à bientôt, Will

Re: Raspberry Pi au CERN: 5th October

If you can email me your project ideas, they will go on our planning web page. We are starting to gather a list of speakers and demonstrations. As soon as the web page is in better shape, there will be another update on this forum. It would be a good idea not to make the project too loud, since the ...

This time we have booked the main auditorium, council chamber, large tutorial room and breakout rooms. If you are close to CERN and have a Raspberry Pi, please can you get in touch? The event will be i...

Re: The magPi...

Thanks for the confirmation that this is a safe operation. I have...

It is the vertically stacked USB connector that has broken.

Replacing damaged USB connector

Hi, I have a Raspberry Pi with a broken USB connector. Is it possible to remove the connector or will the heat cause damage to the rest of the board? If it is possible to remove the bad connector, does anyone have a compatible part number for a replacement USB connector? Thanks and best regards, Will

Re: MagPi Issue 10 crashes iPad.

Hi,

Would it be possible for you to try issue 11? We updated the templates of issue 11 last night, to try to remove this problem. If it works, we can update issue 10 too.

Thanks and best regards,

Will

CERN & UK summer students

The CERN summer studentship places are nearing their last stage of assignment. The preselection means that we only get to see the best student applications. However, the message appears to be similar to last year: brilliant students without relevant IT skills are avoided. For a 10-13 week summer pos...

Will
