The development boards are not warranted to conform to any standard, or be fit for any purpose.
In particular we would not sanction their use in any life, safety or injury critical application

You should not need cooling to dissaspate the 1-2W needed.

We have found experimentally that some low spec HDMI cables don't work for 1080p, If your display doesn't mode select properly suspect the cable

Think of the SD card as holding the BIOS equivalent. You put a small loader on it that then does the main boot from internet, if that is what you want

Beware of low spec HDMI cables.
We've had cables that can't transmit the full 1080p signal and the autosensing on the TV gets confused
