Re: Display for Kali Linux

Kali, ubuntu, debian, raspbian all share a lot so any instructions you find will likely work on any of those with little or no modification.

Re: Looping

As noted here:
https://github.com/popcornmix/omxplayer
you can;

Code: Select all

omxplayer --loop file.mp4
but "Loop file [is] Ignored if file not seekable" so in that case you can;

Code: Select all

while true ; do omxplayer file.mp4; done

Re: possible firewall

Re: Interfacing a 12 inch tablet with relays

Yes, I would put lighttpd on the pi then any tablet, phone can use it. For hardware I woud use 1-wire, something like this; http://m.ebay.com/itm/181253848913?_mwBanner=1

Some file systems don't support Linux permissions and mount with a static set, so use sudo, or mount, or mkfs

Avoid Noobs, use Raspbian Jessie Lite, any brand sd card should be fine, no-name ones tend to die in the first month.

Re: Pi 2 as Web Server

1. You can not use RED HAT, the closest thing was http://pidora.ca but that's dated so it's recommended you use Raspbian Jessie Lite which is close to Debian (and ubuntu/mint/etc). Other options 2. Oracle is not likely to have a build for the pi but postgresql and mysql are better anyway. 3. You can...

Re: I need some help...

1) Title your posts properly.
2) There is no need to buy a raspberrypi to learn programming any computer will do.
3) The raspberrypi is about to become obsolete the same way any computer is, the main difference is the raspberrypi is $5 to $100, and normal computers are $70 to $5k.

Re: Lots of how hissing/static Kodi/OSMC

max all 3 volumes in kodi just below clipping, or buy a hifi board (has a dac with better snr) or use the dac in an amp via hdmi
