Re: Raspberry Pi live graphs

"it doesn't take a lot of horsepower to change an image pixel, and an RPi is quite capable of displaying HD video" Indeed it is (actually all known RPi's are of course), & in this case it's useful to use a viewer application which makes good use of one of RPi's strengths - its GPU. Attached is a few...

I find it easier to leave the original, & just copy png's to the folder, as per screenshot. Next edit pix.script to activate the png required, commenting out any others, as in the other screenshot. It doesn't matter what size png (within reason) as it will be scaled as can be seen by reading the res...

Re: Setting a hotkey in Openbox

As it doesn't take long to test them, I've since tried several more, including my old Powermac-G3 keyboard which includes a USB hub, & a ps2 really old keyboard. All work fine. So, do you have a USB hub attached, & or any USB related statements in your /boot/config.txt or cmdline.txt? Are there any ...

Dans votre fichier de script ip cam, tapez votre commande actuelle, mais sans sudo (sudo est indésirable), comme ceci: omxplayer rtsp://admin:12345@192.168.1.232/MediaInput/h264 Rendre l'exécu...

Stretch, yes. It works on Jessie too. I doubt openbox has changed dramatically recently. I imagine you tested it with another keyboard? I've tested it on 3 µSD cards, & plugged in another totally different keyboard along with this one on which I'm typing this reply, (dual control) & both work exactl...

@kneekoo If you mean this: (see attached jpeg. I have no javascript on this browser so it won't go inline) I also see no effect on omxplayer for example. I haven't noticed this before as I almost always specify the destination in the omxplayer statement, for example: omxplayer -o alsa:pcm.default .....

Re: Setting a hotkey in Openbox

No, the unzipped file contents need to be pasted into the file location as per my previous post. I substituted my original amixer lines for the ones corresponding to XF86audio. You've posted the lines corresponding to keys you don't have. You can just open lxde-pi-rc.xml in leafpad or Geany for exam...

I can see why! Attached is the entry you need to make in /home/pi/.config/openbox/lxde-pi-rc.xml below the existing first line of this attachment in the above file, for example. Edit: It occurred to me subsequently to simply try the multimedia keys XF86audio amixer settings & they work fine, so atta...

Re: IPcam -> RTSP server on Rpi

I don't have a need for your approach, so don't have direct experience of doing that with vlc I'm afraid. However, it may be worthwhile to look at the openRTSP suite of tools. For example, there is a testrelay application, & source code is provided so you may be able to edit it to suit. testrelay ma...

It's important to say what you've already tried, & you've done that! From a terminal window try: omxplayer --avdict rtsp_transport:udp rtsp://login:pass@webcamIP:554/play1.sdp omxplayer has many options, eg., you don't say where you want the audio output to come from. Just typing omxplayer will disp...

Well, one simple way is to set your RPi to boot to cli. When it has booted to the console prompt, type startx & you'll arrive at your desktop. When you're ready to start your videos, mouse to the Raspberry menu, select the Shutdown submenu, then press on Exit to cammand line $ cd wherever-your-files...

Re: Need help on ISS streamer

You won't see any video differences as long as you have sufficient GPU RAM allocated. More obviously works as you've found, but you rob the CPU of memory for normal linux applications. 128 Meg's is normally sufficient for what you're doing. 4G? That is small. However, when you get your ISS running o...

Re: Need help on ISS streamer

Your Rpi's ram is quite sufficient for that job, & your Cpu usage is low because it's hardly used by omxplayer, which mostly relies on the Broadcomm Gpu. Mplayer's Cpu use will be rather higher, but both seem to work fine. In fact, it's running now on this Rpi 0 on which i'm typing this reply, using...

Re: Need help on ISS streamer

As long as you have at least another working µSD card, it's worth trying. sudo apt-get update then sudo apt-get upgrade which writes to the terminal window what will be updated & you can save that text to a file if interested. There'll be several files needing updating, but it all usually goes fine....
