Re: Raspbian Stretch 2017-11-29 performs always intensive disk check when booting w/o network.

thinking about that you are asking for fstab, i went back to a pure virgine actual Raspbian-Stretch-lite (2017-11-29) installation on a RPi3 with nothing connected but SD card (16GB), TV, ethernet cable and power supply (yes, good and strong enough for RPi3). the only modification were, enabling SSH...

Re: Raspbian Stretch 2017-11-29 performs always intensive disk check when booting w/o network.

You don't have a stable clock. Is it always going back to November 2016? Whatever syncs your clock starts too late. What's in /etc/fstab? on that specific RPi it is a bit special: proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 PARTUUID=a754701d-01 /boot vfat defaults 0 2 PARTUUID=a754701d-02 / ext4 defaults, noatime ...

stupid me, why i didn't looked into the journalctl before... the reason is "Superblock last mount time (Sun Dec 24 21:32:48 2017, now = Thu Nov 3 18:16:44 2016) is in the future." that's, what you already told... in those cases the disk check starts running before the kernel got the correct o...

Re: Pi 3 USB booting suddenly stopped working

So Pi still does load U-Boot from USB then? the whole outout on your first screenshot is from U-Boot. so U-Boot is loaded and is running. maybe the update destroyed some configuration files that U-Boot is expecting. i guess if the updating software isn't expecting a foreign software it is possible ...

when there is an optical/visual indicator on the switch device, maybe it would be more safe and secure to detect the state by using an optical light reflection switch like ITR-8307 i think the black spot/gap on top left is a kind of visual indicator. when you place a light reflection switch above th...

i have also an external USB memory stick (SanDisk 64GB UltraFit, with ext4 file system) attached to my RPi, but i have it only for extra data storage permanently plugged in and not for boot or root file system. is it possible, that the shutdown process isn't clearing and flushing the " dirty bit " p...

Hello, I just downloaded the Windows 10 for IoT .iso file from the official website (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/iot/downloads). I noticed that the filename was: 16299.15.170928-1534.rs3_release_ amd64 fre_IOTCORE_ RPi .iso I was just curious why, since the filename also includes ...

maybe the module of RPi isn't able to provide more than one pps-gpio. did you found out, who is responsable for the pps-gpio overlay? maybe Noralf Trønnes aka notro https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/blob/rpi-4.9.y/arch/arm/boot/dts/overlays/pps-gpio-overlay.dts did you asked already in the debian...

it's just a matter of your name service to deliver hostname_A for 10.0.0.2 and hostname_B for 192.168.0.1.
how can i influence the delivery behavior?
(for my case, obviously not by changing /etc/hostname)
