This is near the spawn area (you'll notice it because it's huge and has torches on top).

Re: Minecraft server - How To

Just built a small house somewhere near the water. But without anything to hunt for every player will soon be starved to death. The performance was surprisingly smooth, well done! Yep, I saw! (here's a pic for everyone: http://i.imgur.com/YPTQb.png ) I just enabled animals. I wonder if the server c...

[PHP] Problem with curl

Hello guys. I have the following code: http://pastebin.com/j5WSRhGH which takes json and converts it to xml. The code is fine, however, when I try something like http://randrade18.no-ip.org/benficastuff/json-xml.php?json=https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline.json?include_entities=true&inc...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

I think we got up to four people at once on the server! And it ran perfectly :D (though no mobs or animals, but that's because I had disabled them) here are a couple of pictures: http://i.imgur.com/hFiHR.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hsybe.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YyKtp.jpg (this one is from the Pi connected...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

Well I tried running this on my 512 Pi but no luck. I get the warning: [WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? I had a fresh install of the OS and upgraded all the packages. I also overclocked mine to 1000mHz. My set-up is a little different, I used the Occ...

Re: Raspberry web server

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lighttpd && sudo apt-get clean && sudo chmod 777 /var/www This hurts so much. You don't set the rights of data to 777 without having a very, very, very good reason to do so. I'd suggest reading about the basics of the GNU/Linux operating system. If you do...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

Alternatively, you can check if the server is up by going here: http://randrade18.no-ip.org/minecraft/demo/ (last server on the list, please do not abuse this as it takes up useful resources)

If the server feels slow or anything, tell me and I'll restart it.

Re: Raspberry web server

You might want to not do that and instead just install lighttpd. This will give you a web server (no PHP, but I can give you very easy instructions if you want PHP) If you choose to do this, do the following: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lighttpd && sudo apt-get clean && sudo chmod 77...

Minecraft server - How To

Hi guys. After tinkering with my Pi for a while, I found out a way of creating a Minecraft server. This guide isn't too complicated or hard to follow, but it's a bit long! I used a Model B rev 2 Pi for this. 1) Flash an SD card (I'm using a 2GB) with Raspbian wheezy (follow the instructions on http:...

Re: YOU SUCK: the venting thread

You know what sucks? iTunes.

Bloated, slow, starts to die if you have many apps and music, even if you have a decent computer.

I love my iPod touch and iOS, but iTunes... ugh. I can see why some people sell their iPods - they just don't want to put up with iTunes.

Re: 44780 LCD Add-On board

Adafruit's kit, which you can view here: http://adafruit.com/products/181 requires the purchaser to solder the pins onto the board. My hands aren't the steadiest and I've never used a soldering iron, which is why I'm skeptical of trying it! Your kit appears to be better since it lets people use the ...

Is this similar to the kit Adafruit sells on their website? I might take you up on this offer, since I never used a soldering iron and am afraid of breaking something.

Re: Emulating Raspberry Pi in Windows the easy way

Hello,

First of all, thanks for this!

I assume I can fire up QEMU with the image, set some things up (apache server, code some things etc) and later flash the image onto an SD card to use on an actual Pi?

Re: Raspberry + OpenELEC + Xbmc
