This means you made a mistake on one of the previous steps. Try repeating everything.

What distro are you using?

Re: Minecraft server - How To

Brilliant guide, helped me out loads as I wanted to run a quite minecraft server for about eight people. It did so brilliantly once it had about two minutes to render the chunks in, we have even been to the nether (temporarily kicks everyone to load chunks, same as server first boot) but runs extre...

Try running MCServer? http://mc-server.org/ apparently some dude got it up and running: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1580649-14-picraft-vanilla-minecraft-on-a-raspberry-pi/ Yes I had MCServer up and running on my pi. It is really good, especially with its very low CPU load. However, being un...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

Hi guys, great topic and instructions - However I run into problems when trying to mine as when I dig near spawn the soil will compact into a collectible block then it replaces itself as if I never dug it originally?!? Thinking this was due to protected spawn area size I reduced to 1 in the server....

Re: Case com entradas/saidas na trazeira

Boas. Já há várias cases disponíveis. Eu comprei a minha na RS Components (aproveitei e encomendei a case quando encomendei o Pi). Custa a encaixar, mas é boa. So nao tem saida para GPIO (nao sei se precisas)

I guess (.. and it's an uneducated guess as I am not a programmer.) that the alternative implementations of the Minecraft server written in a language other than Java (such as MCServer or Mineserver - there are others but most of them are currently in an early stage of development) will give you be...

Running GeoGebra 4.0 on Raspbian Wheezy

Hello guys. Here's a guide to running GeoGebra 4.0 on Raspbian wheezy: 1) Flash an SD card with the Raspbian wheezy image, run raspi-config, change all the settings you want. You should enable SSH and set memory split to 128MB for GPU, and I advise you overclock the Pi (modest overclock is fine, and...

Re: Post your Raspberry Pi server setup!

I have a Model B rev 2 Raspberry Pi. Currently using it as a Minecraft server (randrade18.no-ip.org if anyone's interested) and as a lighttpd server, where I run some PHP scripts (mostly experimenting with things though). And I'm using a 2GB SD Card (the MC server files are on a 4GB flash drive). I ...

You're welcome! Glad to see others got their servers to run. Also, I just updated mine to 1.4.7. I created a small bash script to run updates at your request. 1) cd to wherever the minecraft server jar is 2) sudo nano update.sh 3) type this in: rm minecraft_server.jar wget https://s3.amazonaws.com/M...

Re: Minecraft server - How To

So I did two more things and unfortunately I did them both at the same time. The first thing I did was upgrade from a class 4 SD Card to a class 8 SD Card. It seemed to boot faster but no scientific data to back that up. My thinking was that it was using the card for cache and building out the worl...

Wish I knew a way to convert a pocket edition building to a standard one... Shame I can't see your map :/ And have you considered putting a 'safety' border around your map? That could help with risk of affecting the server when going too far out. Hmm looking at the time of your post, the Pi was run...
