Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I want to include temperature and humidity on the RPi Cam Web Interface page. I can get readings via python via ssh. It would be nice if it auto updated on the RPi cam page but I would be very happy for it to simply load the latest readings when the page loads. I am not very familiar with python or ...

Re: Model A, A+ Issues.

OK clear issue that does not seem to be power related. Pi camera with servo pan & tilt head. Latest noobs Raspain with all updates to 14 Nov 14 installed on an A+ and on an A Pan and Tilt will not work via a web interface with or without seperate power supply for servos or with OpenElectrons board o...

A+ RPi Cam Web Interface and Pi-Cam

Just been trying the A+ board with openelectrons add on with the pan tilt camera head and can't get it working with the RPi Cam Web Interface Pan Tilt embedded stuff from the wiki. Also tried just a pan tilt head on GPIO pins 23 &24, again it works fine via python directly. When I remove the distro ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Unfortunately, it seems like you can't choose which parameters to pass, if you omit some of them, the ones that would go away are the ones from the end of the line. For example %04d_%02d_%02d_%02d_%02d_%02d_text.jpg would become "number, year, month, day, hour, minute" and not "year, month, day, ho...

Re: video recording with motion detection, in Python

This sounds great as a solution with far better results than ispy etc and it will have other uses HD related.

I'm bogged down in pan tilt motion tracking at the moment but will try this out very soon. So good luck with it if your still working on it that is!

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

This is a fantastic piece of software! Thank you!

I am trying to change the file names to year/month/day/hr/mn/sec as 2014_10_03_09_54_59_text.jpg

I tried editing the line in raspimjpeg within /etc but this just messed things up.

Any pointers?

Hard wiring a B+

The problem is a micro USB connector sticks out way to far! Even a right angled one! Removing the outer casing of the USB connector leaves some very fragile wiring.

I want to hard wire a B+ board without bypassing protection.

I thought about wiring to PP3 and PP7 but really not sure??

You can set GPCLK0 to 20MHz , after that Ethernet works great. Just a sample C program in /etc/crontab.

Re: Overheating B+ board

OK removed everything and it booted OK, as I picked it up it burned my finger off (slight exaggeration) then died. I noticed that as I moved it the lights would come on, then go off, so there is clearly a loose internal connection. The polyfuse? is what seems to get very very hot, see picture.. It's...

Re: Overheating B+ board

Its the corner where the power plugs in. Think itss a poly fuze? Too hot to hold anyway. 2.1a USB power supply, same as for other B Pi board with no problems. 1 8gb USB 2 pen drive, 1 WiFi dongle, 1 32gb sd card with latest Noobs updated raspbian (as at 19072014). Re: Using DateTime as a file name with timelapse -tl

snip... If you want raspistill to tag images by date rather than number, you need to modify the C code and compile your own version. Otherwise, you need to wrap the raspistill command in a script (bash/python/php/whatever) that takes care of the renaming by date. An example of HOW to do this would b...

Re: Using DateTime as a file name with timelapse -tl

I don't know whether there's a shortcut specific to raspistill, but in general you can use backwards-single-quote marks (which might be on the key to the left of your '1' key). They generally cause the command inside the quotes to be executed and the result substituted before processing whatever is...
