Re: I2C register addresses

You have two i2c buses, so you can connect 2 sensors to 2 different buses ;-)

Re: php accsess /dev/mem to controll gpio

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
echo 23 > /sys/class/gpio/export
echo out > /sys/class/gpio/gpio23/direction
chown apache /sys/class/gpio/gpio23/value
Now you can open file "/sys/class/gpio/gpio23/value" from php and write/read to it to control gpio..

Re: php accsess /dev/mem to controll gpio

You can export all needed GPIOs via/sys/class/gpio/export, chown to apache, then access GPIOs from PHP as regular file.
For simple ON/OFF switching it is enough.

It is exactly this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Full-aluminum-C ... 0785455085

The ebay's photo sucks, it is high quality brushed aluminium case. I can put some hi-res photos with complete system if you interested.

I don't want to start another war, but to take some distance I suggest to take a look at this blog http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/ and http://people.xiph.org/~xiphmont/demo/neil-young.html ;-)

Re: FIFO to solve I2S jitter. Any solution?

Reclocking is good for SPDIF interface, but for I2S you have separate clock line. I don't get why and how to reclock I2S interface? If someone is really able to hear 800 ps jitter from "crappy" RPi clock (http://www.crazy-audio.com/2013/09/raspberry-pi-i2s-output-working/), then just configure RPI's...

Re: Volumio + lcd that show current song name

I use this OLED display: http://www.wide.hk/products.php?product=-IIC-%7B47%7D-I2C-1602-OLED-Module-Display-%252d-For-Arduino-%7B47%7D-PIC-%7B47%7D-AVR-%7B47%7D-ARM It works for me with lcdproc http://www.lcdproc.org/ and xbmc. If volumio can talk to the lcdproc service, you have plenty of choices.

Re: FIFO to solve I2S jitter. Any solution?

Could you put some fact and figures about your measurements and experiments ?
AFAIK RPi's I2S output is good enough, but connecting it to a good master clock will make it perfect (I hope).

Check RPi network mask value.
Check if desktop reject ICMP ECHO (ping) packet due to default windows firewall settings.
