Re: Can I run Apache Airflow on Raspberry Pi 4/3?

I haven't tried it, but now you said so - I'll give it a go. I'll write later.

BTW my advice is coming from using it professionally on mac and linux docker.

Re: Max USB Drives

Understood. But i have FREE 500 gb HDD's from work b/c we change them out so often as a preventive measure and most of the time they are happy and healthy still. That would be me at 5 tb of storage in total if i just use them as individual HDD's and not do any RAID. Just imagine you do have some fa...

Re: Is it possible to measure the power consumption using raspberry pi? If yes then how?

Yes. Break the 5V wire (usually red but check anyway) in the USB cable and wire it to a INA219 breakout board. If it is as simple as with micro USB - they no issue there! :) I was just worried about USB C (port!) being picking about where the 5V is coming from. If it is not picky, then I can just w...

Re: Is it possible to measure the power consumption using raspberry pi? If yes then how?

Forgive my ignorance... So rather than powering the Pi via the USB socket you run your 5V through the INA219 to the header 5V and GND pins? Correct. Good point. Now I'll be on a hunt for cheap USB C cable I can cut in two and use it to power my Pi4. Wait. Is that even possible and if so what is req...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 usb boot?

In the classroom environment, we found the microSD cards to be problematic. No issues with reliability or performance, but they are so small that pilfering is potentially an issue, made worse by the fact that pupils often have smartphones which could use some extra storage--and a microSD card was p...

I've been saying that for a while. ... Much link a three year old in the supermarket when denied chocolate. ... The other thing I don't get, is why those complaining are 1. so vocal, 2. so insistent (to the point of getting themselves banned) in their argument, 3. so unwilling to learn. It might be...

See all the Minecraft Java Edition threads on the Gaming subforum ! Both LWJGL2 and LWJGL3 run on the Pi (2 or above, not Zero). Perhaps not every feature of LWJGL, but enough to run Minecraft. Edit: Come to think of it, I think you mean that there isn't an LWJGL port using the legacy brcmGLES driv...

Re: different behavior variable and array assignment

Maybe you should find (online or otherwise) a course of Java language? In this particular case arr1 and arr2 are just pointers and when you assign arr2 = arr1 you just make arr2 point to the same arr1 array. Does that make any sense? BTW int variables are 'primitives' and they do contain value (they...

Re: LibGDX on Buster

I don't think they'll work :( So far only way to have it running on RPi is to make runnbale with JOGL instead of LWJGL. JOGL was re-instated in this fork just because it works on RPi (2, 3, 4... Zero? Most likely) while I'm not aware of ports of LWJGL. In order for game to work - one would need to d...

It's quite simple really, I'm looking for a suitable ARM based computer to take over from Intel/AMD for my regular computing tasks, & it needs to work how I work with 'standard' computers, booting from internal HDD/SSD, & external HDD/SSD or pendrives. I can't be doing with the hassle of those micr...

OK moving forward - version 1.9.9.rpi and 1.9.10.rpi are in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/natda ... x/mvn-repo.

JOGL impl now should follow what lwjgl and lwjgl3 are doing (implemented newly added methods, etc).

Next is the head of 1.9.11-SNAPSHOT....

As someone who's using RPi4 with SSD for over a month now (booted from it - or to be more precise has whole root partition on it) I just genuinely don't understand all the fuss!!!

And also, I saw people who never saw Pi4 complaining about lack of USB boot facility and holding off to buy one. Eh?!

OK - changes are back to repo. Whoever is to build from 1.9.8.rpi version will get jogl jars from processing project which, in turn, should allow running LibGDX without any black magic regarding two different openGL drivers supplied by Raspbian. That allows LibGDX to run on Pi4 without any issues. N...

I suspect if ambient temperature goes ove...
