Re: How to write udev rule?

In the output from "udevadm info" you see that the ATTRS are grouped in different levels (or paths under //devices ). Until today I have thought that you can NOT mix ATTRS from different levels in a udev rule. And you see that btInterfaceNumber is not in the same grouping as idVendor and idProduct. ...

Any information or help would be more than appreciated on this. This forum works best if you have specific questions. Re: "Raspberry PI SIM900 GSM/GPRS Add-on" question

Search for guides like this: https://www.benfreke.org/201712/raspberry-pi-3g-4g-hotspot/ - The SIM800/900 modules are a bit weird compared to "normal" 3g/4g-dongles so I cant be sure they play nice with sakis3g script. - The "usbmodeswitch" stuff is only relevant if you have usb-dongle that need it....

Re: question about space lakka and libreelec

The size of the (extracted) image itself decides the minimum size SD card you can use. There is a high chance that Lakka for example will attempt to expand the filesystem to fill the whole SD-card on the first boot to give you space to store games etc. It might be a manual step, but read the documen...

Re: raspberry pi post/bios screen

The Pi doesnt have a BIOS so the only thing you might see is a big rainbow square ( I think, unless you need the SD card for that too.. )

- ping your ddns name to doubelcheck that you get correct IP on dns lookup.
- Are you sure that http ( port 80 ) and not only https (port 443 ) are enabled in Apache ?
- command "netstat -lp" should list ports and processes.

Re: Displaying Live data in GUI - what to use?

What you are trying to do seems a bit to complicated for basic diaglo/zenity/yad.

Seems to me you might want something like "conky" "gkrellm" or "Cysboard". I belive you can write your own scripts to feed data to Conky for example.

Re: Apache web server on pi

I am also able to access motion eye camera stream from outside the network. Tell us how the portforwarding is set up now.. You can not forward external port 80 to two different devices in your router, so the easiest is to either move Apache or the camera to another internal ( and external ) port. (...

Re: Network does not come up when restarting ...

You have been reading a lot of old guides for older versions of Raspbian it seems. Leave "/etc/network/interfaces" be and focus on guides that mention "/etc/dhcpcd.conf". I think this is a hole in the RPF documentation, but it seem like they dont want to encourage people exposing the Pi on the inter...

Re: Raspbian Lite: how to switch apps without closing them?

Why do you want to have it in the foreground ? If its a server its very unlikely that you can interact with it. If you want to see what it logs then look at the logfile. You can follow a logfile "live" with "tail -f" command.

Re: Pi as VPN gateway/router for a subnet

Setting a static IP ( for example 192.168.32.1 ) on eth1 is the first step. (If all the other devices on that sub-net also can be set to static IP then you dont really need DHCP. ) All the guides I have seen related to setting up the Pi as a router or wifi AP uses "dnsmasq" so I think you will find ...

Good point... I want to connect to my router with wifi but connect my Acurite Access to the ethernet port.
