Re: Python-powered Web Server example question

Excellent! Now that I have the attention of someone with authority to change these examples, i'd like to bring a few other details to attention so that people trying to teach themselves to program don't give up because the learning examples don't work. The learner examples really should be solid......

Re: Python-powered Web Server example question

You've got DEBUGGING enabled! Change app.run(host='0.0.0.0', port=8001, debug=True) to app.run(host='0.0.0.0', port=8001, debug=False) The debugger should be on. If you turn off the debugger, you won't see the errors in the web view. Even though the output from executing app.py is different than th...

I ordered these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/0-1m-sho ... 63361.html and they work fairly well. They're a bit too long, but close enough for what I want to do: Image

Re: Any tutorials on how to make a simple Menu app in Python

Not sure what the problem could be. Here's what I used to create the guide: Raspberry Pi 2 Model B 8gb micro SD Fresh image of Raspbian written directly to the card. I've done it with the last Wheezy and the recent Jessie release. Haven't tried NOOBS, but no reason that wouldn't work that I can thin...

Not totally sure, as I haven't done this myself. It may have to do with updating kivy's config.ini file to specify the display's framebuffer.

Re: Any tutorials on how to make a simple Menu app in Python

Although I have posted elsewhere I have been trying to follow your guide and when I get to the download key section, I get a time out error to the server any thoughts Yes, there used to be a note in the guide that said you just had to try it again if it doesn't work the first time around. I then up...

Copy the config.ini to /root/.kivy like so:

Code: Select all

sudo cp ~/.kivy/config.ini /root/.kivy/config.ini

Yes all correct. No I don't own a 8 gb card that's all I have are the 4 but I borrowed another 4 gb to try and that also didn't work. The 64 gb card never worked. It doesn't boot up at all(Black screen no input detected). But that is normal with that card like I said I never was able to put anythin...

It's very confusing to put your whole story together because you've posted a few different times, doling information out piecemeal and adding lots of drama. Let's just stick to the facts so that someone who might know the answer can help (and correct me if any of these are wrong): You have four micr...

Perhaps it's not an SD card issue? How are you certain that the SD card is the issue? I had no problem following the instructions and creating a bootable SD with a 8gb class 10 card.

Further it seems to run against the very charitable status of the foundation, using charitable donations to offer succour to a for profit corporation. First I want to echo Clive's...
