Re: RaspberryPi Camera for Astrophotography

This is amazing..

Stelarium from searching other posts it seems it can be installed. But X maxes out the cpu from constantly redrawing the screen. Maybe with fingers crossed the new Wayland optimizations could make it possible.

Re: Existing rasbian wheezy image multiple copy

Same process but instead of write choose read in win32disk image name the file and use the .img extension when writing it. You will need the same size or larger SD Card. If using a smaller size card you will have to post so the size can be shrunk before writing it to the smaller card.

Re: raspi-config package not found!!

Unfortunately the way Berryboot works raspi-config is not compatible you will need to post what part of raspi-config your after as the settings can be changed but have to be done differently. Running raspi-config under Berryboot will almost guarantee a corruption of the OS.

I don't recall razorrasp? but a google search leads me to believe you may have Berryboot? if so it is not available nor compatible with Berryboot. Sorry if I am wrong need more info on exactly how your setup. raspi-config is available to the default raspbian package as a standalone image I can't thi...

Re: missing raspi-config

Unfortunately the way other distros work raspi-config is not compatible in many instances. That's why it can't be installed. Typically other settings will overwrite it if you did get it installed or it can break your installation. raspi-config if not installed by default is best to probably stay awa...

Re: Watercooled Raspberry PI

The bigger market would be to create water cooling for cell phones and Ipads similar chips similar temps. And they compute. You are now dealing in 100x the volume sold vs the Pi. Once you convince Apple the need for such a thing and start producing tens of millions all those $600 devices. Which in t...

The only one that I know of is not quite available but should be soon from what they have told me. This is actually one of my favorite cases and the fact that they are actively working on different designs to accommodate needs of their customers. http://www.shopavies.com/ixxocart/products/Pi_Pan_Ras...

Re: no more email notifications for watched threads

I've personally always seen it as spotty I will get a notice and there have been 5 or so replies over different days or several hours since I last visited or viewed the thread. And some times I get notice every reply regardless of time between posts unless they are back to back posts.

Re: Raspberry Pi Camera Module

There has not been any claim as to where they are manufactured as far as I have read. The UK / China preference is a debate as far as the Raspberry Pi itself. The camera though is speculative as to origins or being produced in more than one country.

Have you tried the email link at the bottom of this page.

http://raspberrypi.rsdelivers.com/stati ... contacting seems to be the only contact information they provide and the shipped section has only been updated to December of last year which unfortunately won't be much help.

Re: Quadrocopter... RC receiver?

The only thing I see when planning is hobby pilots are governed and so are the frequencies at which they can operate. The cost of the receivers are not that much and actually do help ensure you have enough range to operate the flyer at the proper altitude and are not breaking any ordinances or laws....

I learn more and more. It is weird they have been talking about releasing files for a very long time but there is quite a disconnect between actually doing it. Makes you wonder the factors involved. The closest I can find is comments in this post from 2011 http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/344#com...

Re: Request - 'Mounting hole' location relative to pin 1 of

I don't know for sure that they have any CAD files. By that I mean the most use they could probably get out of them would be for making cases which they don't at this point. This is just a guess but I assumed they made the PCB layout and handed that over but I don't think that translates to CAD. And...

Sounds like a code challenge for some young talented individual to create a crawler that can compare images against the Raspberry Pi logo from a search result for Raspberry Pi. Maybe just start with *.ico and an algorithm that can find similar results.

Re: Access point without ethernet

It can be done you would have to install and search out iw sudo apt-get install iw Then: iw list This will show if the device is capable of AP or Master Mode. Some errors can be the device just isn't compatible with iw or does not have the ability to be connect to. Meaning it can not be the host htt...
