What is the command git pull origin master for? It only produces this: root@raspi2:~# git pull origin master fatal: Not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git You only need that command to update the software in the case there's a new version out there, and it must be performed a...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Could you post how you use the chron to get the Pi to reboot every 24hrs? I'm not an expert, but I am learning slowly... My setup is now quite different from what the installer does, but I think the following procedure should work for you: Create a script in /usr/local/bin (or wherever you prefer) ...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hm, has anyone especienced high cpu usage after about a day uptime? So high that I can't even log in via ssh. I'm trying to debug it, I thought it was nodejs at first which I'm using for some web monitor, and I disabled it leaving the the cam stream active, but it happened nonetheless. Turning the c...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

I am trying to change the file names to year/month/day/hr/mn/sec as 2014_10_03_09_54_59_text.jpg Unfortunately, it seems like you can't choose which parameters to pass, if you omit some of them, the ones that would go away are the ones from the end of the line. For example %04d_%02d_%02d_%02d_%02d_...

Hi. is there any way to view the video stream in a browser, like with mjpg-streamer, rather than just the static preview image? The preview image appears to be just refreshing via javascript? I'd like to be able to stream the video direct into a page, as can be done with mjpg-streamer. Thanks Point...

If there's no way to write exif data from the camera itself, I think it's also possible to run something like "jhead -dsft image.jpg" after each picture. Haven't checked possible overhead with this process, but I believe it's possibly feasible.

Weird though, not sure why your files are not saved in mp4 already, maybe you don't have MP4Box true in /etc/raspimjpeg?
Glad you figured it out : )

The image effects Colourpoint and Colourbalance cause an instant freeze of the camera, and even after restarting raspimjpeg the camera won't wake up until next reboot.
Can anyone reproduce this issue?

@slabua: Your commit #4 is very nice, I just have a few questions: 1. Why should raspimjpeg be moved to /usr/bin/raspimjpeg? 2. I just noticed that the exif date in the pictures saved is set to 1970:01:01 00:00:00 for each of them.
Is there any way to fix this, or is it pertinent to raspistill itself?

This is a recurring issue, you need to use an older kernel:

Code: Select all

Is this an issue pertinent to the kernel itself or to raspimjpeg?
Namely, should we wait for a fix in the kernel or raspimjpeg?
