Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

I have uae4all2 working on raspberry pi, but i don't see why there is so much expectation from it... Aga should be too slow (I didn't bother to test it) and the menu is not meant to work with a keyboard (the shortcuts used are too messy...). Hi Chips, I have my Pi connected to my TV with HDMI port. ...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

Unfortunately audio don't work on HDMI or Jack, but only with Amiga games, because menu sounds and NES games work fine, with audio. :?: I want ask you something... Why you don't work with RetroPie? (or RetroPie with you) We don't know if issue is link to retropie or not... could be due to the fact ...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

@Chip: If you're using dispmanx for double buffering, take into account the submit_sync() function is blocking on the same thread where it's called, so that causes the stuttering you're still seeing (I think) as CPU isn't used to calculate next frame. Use GLES2 instead: that's what RetroArch and Sq...

Re: GLQuake-ES now available

The modification is simple to do and straightforward to find. Anyway in common.c, modify the following: if (h == -1) { #if WINDED Sys_Error ("This dedicated server requires a full registered copy of Quake"); #endif Con_Printf ("Playing shareware version.\n"); //if (com_modified) // Sys_Error ("You m...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

Which version of the emulator do you use ? Which rom are you using ? note that ROM is something different than disk image. rom should be the kick.rom file. What is the OS/distribution of your raspberry pi ? Don't forget the rom should be for OCS amiga. ROM 1.3 for example is a good one. In the new u...

Re: GLQuake-ES

It looks like (./glquake -nomtex -game id1) should do the trick. It tried to load but then it said "Playing Shareware version" "Error: You must have the registered version to use modified games." At first i got same error as you, despite using shareware version which did work long time ago... Then ...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

thanks
no pb, you can add it in the rpi emu thread. It's open source after all...
I think the previous version was included in retropie, but don't count on me...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

I continued a little bit on my uae4all source code in order to improve it. I called it v0.2. Binary and source code link: http://fdarcel.free.fr/uae4all-src-rc3.chips.0.2.tar.bz2 This emulator is based on UAE4All rc3 which itself is hightly optimized (means un-accurate). Audio IS emulated, however i...

Re: Full speed Amiga emulator ( UAE )

Sorry, i forgot to put the data subdirectory with resources in the bz2 binary.
You can re-donwload it and decompress it: it now should have the data subdirectory.

It should complains of kick.rom missing in case you didn't add it in executable directory.

Re: Porting the 'XPort' emulator ports to Pi

Xbox was x86 whereas raspberry pi is ARM.
There are many ARM optimized emulator (Android, Gpxx, Pandora...) which should be better candidates.

UAE4ALL1 : Full speed Amiga 500 emulator with DispmanX

This emulator is based on UAE4All rc3 which itself is hightly optimized (means non-accurate) + cyclone 68K arm core. Source code and binary: http://fdarcel.free.fr/uae4all-src-rc3.chips.0.7.tar.bz2 Audio is emulated, if it doesn't work try to play with Raspberry Pi configuration or use the jack. Fol...

Re: Raspberry Pi Amiga Distro

Don't expect to get A1200 fullspeed on Raspberry. A500 fullspeed seems manageable with hightly optimized (means non accurate) UAE build.

no, you're missing the v1
eg:

sudo ln -s libGLESv2.so libGLESv1_CM.so

Re: libGLES_CM.so is missing

Then why not making a link by default from GLESv1_CM to GLESv2 ?
Many source code depends on this name so it would avoid to waste time on this issue...

The raspberry git tool looks interesting...
But how to make it include the .h from the tool chain instead of the one from the host ?
