Where's music fit in on that list? I wanted to be a professional chorister. Actually did it for a couple of years, too, before realising that it was a quick way to starvation and homelessness.

Pimoroni were reporting a Zero sale every three seconds this morning. And Jamie from The Pi Hut has been posting TERRIFYING pictures of post bags to Vine. This was the state of play after about four hours of sales: https://vine.co/v/i0iebWu7rpI

Re: A picture from The Pi Hut

Sorry folks: while we've been able to make enormous changes in the way pricing in the computer industry works, doing the same for the way international mail works is kind of outside our ambit. If you've ever bought anything small from overseas, you should be used to the way the prices work. Re: A picture from The Pi Hut

The blog post mentioned it's the same micro connector as on the compute module kit, does this mean we can use the adaptors/cables interchangeably? They should, yes; the ribbon cable is a flexy version of the adaptor. (And people who are finding it too rich for their blood can always make one with f...

Dom explained in the very post you're linking to - this didn't come to our attention fast enough to be added in this round, but a fix will be added to the next update. Thank you for your help, and well done for the spot; but understand that it's a very short time since you raised that bug, and relea...

It's a flag to show that your Pi is suffering from undervoltage. You need a proper power supply. See https://www.raspberrypi.org/help/faqs/#power

I must get jdb to upload a picture of the fake SD card he bought on holiday once; the packaging's a marvel of obfuscation.

Re: reliability of machine

The SD card thing's interesting; it's always a problem with the SD card, not the Pi. What brand were you using? We see that happen with fakes (the "too good to be true" eBay deals which, sadly, were!) for the most part.

Re: Using the RP to act as an alarm clock and lock a door?

I think there are probably safer options - like setting a Pi to detect whether you've got back into bed (magic things, PIR sensors), and pour a mug of water onto you if you do. (Or set off more and worse alarms, which may be a little more realistic.) I hate to think of you dead in your bathroom, is ...

Re: Raspberry Pi is The 50 Most Influential Gadgets of All T

Good god, yes: SPECTACLES (and latterly, contact lenses). There wouldn't be a Raspberry Pi without them - Eben is -10 dioptres in both eyes. I'm slightly better off, but we're still in a position where neither of us can locate the bottle of contact lens solution in the mornings.
