I have pasted some below, but there are too many to do all of them. pi@raspberrypi:~ $ pip3 install pocketsphinx Looking in indexes: ...

Re: Power through the POE pins?

Ah. Ok, thanks. Would there be any other way to get power into the pi besides the standard power in or the GPIO?

Power through the POE pins?

Hello, I am thinking of making a RPi tablet and have found a screen that uses all of the 40 GPIO pins. I would like it to have a pi 4 and want to power it through the gpio. The pi 4 also has the extra 4 pins for the poe hat, so is it possible to power the pi through those 4 pins, and still leave the...

Re: PocketSphinx won't install

Yes, I know that, I am using pip because I have uninstalled python2 and now "pip" installs for python3. I checked the version with "pip -V" / "pip3 -V" and "pip" says python 3.x. However, even when I had python2, "pip3 install pocketsphinx" still gave me the same errors. Here's another part of the e...

I figured some stuff out but I can't get pocketsphinx to install. I ran "pip3 install pocketsphinx" but after running for a min, it gives me a bunch of errors. Any ideas?

Re: Data input from an A/V cable

The same type that's used for connecting external speakers to a phone or computer. 3-poles.

Re: Root user's password?

I know how to use "sudo" in the command line, but when I am doing something in the GUI and it needs a password for the user "root" I can't figure out what the password is. It isn't the current password that I have or the default password "raspberry".

Re: Data input from an A/V cable

Neat! Thanks. I will try it. Does the av adapter have a power out wire?
I am trying to read and interpret from an induction velocity sensor, and it needs to be powered from the cable and be able to read the data coming from the sensor.

Root user's password?

Hi, I am trying to install Minecraft java addition on a laptop running the raspberry pi desktop, and need to know what the root user's password is. I know the default password for the user "pi" is "raspberry," but I don't know what it is for root. Any suggestions?

Re: Data input from an A/V cable

If I got a Composite Capture Device, can I still get the data coming through it with python, using a module or something, or would I need a different program?

Speech to Text Engine

Hello, I am trying to program a "Cortana-like" app where I can ask it questions and it will respond and give me answers. I am going to try and use espeek for output but I need a way to get speech to text in python3. I'm pretty sure google has a web service for it, but I want something that lets me h...

Raspberry Di Drone

I would like to build a drone, (just for fun), using a pi, maybe the model 3 A+, the sense hat, and the raspberry pi camera. However, I need a way to connect the pi in the drone to a keyboard, or some kind of joystick, and a display. Is there some way that I can send images, and text/numbers from on...

Cool, thanks! I didn't want to mess around with it, so I wouldn't accidentally wipe out old computer.

Can I boot RPi desktop from a disk?

Is the Raspberry Pi desktop file, (https://projects.raspberrypi.org/en/pro ... pi-desktop), just an installer of the modded Debian desktop, or can I boot it from a disk, without overwriting my hard drive?
