Or if you want a newer version, just use the precompiled armv6l. The go1.13.3.linux-armv6l.tar.gz should work on Raspbian.

Messing with Adiantum may or may not work around the problem. Like using your second car when the first one won't start it's not addressing the issue.
Yes, you are right. But anyway, I'm using Adiantum with kernel 5.3. It is very stable and performs very well. :)

Re: Raspi 4 file server disappointing transfer speed, degradation and segfaults

This adatrium you suggested I would like to try but I can't find a single tutorial on it how to do and it seems it not even in the raspbian kernel. Adiantum is a relatively new thing, so if you really want to try it, you will need a newer kernel, like 5.3 . Just add the following lines to the bcm27...

After successfully moving to aarch64 through rpi-update and changing config.txt, how to correctly rebuild the kernel ? Re: Cannot mount external hard drive on RPi4

I think you just need to install the ntfs-3g package:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install ntfs-3g
The performance and compatibility will not be as good as with a native Linux filesystem. Ext4 is recommended.

Yes, I performed research before posting, that particular command was issued without error, however, I still receive the message when I attempt to pull updates.
If this is the problem, you need to remove the correct files:

Code: Select all

sudo rm /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libglib-2.0.so.0*

Are you checked this? The libglib moved to /usr/lib since version 2.56.0-5.

Ah, OK, so encrypting an entire partition, not just a swap file. My mistake. Sounds like a load of effort to go to for very little benefit.
You can try it with a SWAP file, I've just described the steps. It's a minute, including the stability test, just a little effort. :)

I couldn't find a way to accomplish a similar behavior on the Pi4.
Just remove the PCIe interface, this totally disable the USB controller:

Re: Building older version kernel for Raspbian GNU/Linux 10

First thing to do, you need to make sure that the rpi-4.4.y kernel you compiled is working on your Pi with Raspbian Buster. After the system has successfully booted with this kernel and it seems everything is working fine, you can compile and install the SocketCAN kernel module.

What patch? You just need to follow the steps in the documentation. You can download the rpi-4.19.y-rt branch (git clone or the zip file), but there is no need to apply patches.

Maybe just try with unencrypted SWAP file on an encrypted filesystem. This is one way to encrypts the SWAP, because the entire underlying device/partition is encrypted. Maybe use another, Debian compatible script, or configure the OpenVPN manually. You just need to install the openvpn package, and generate the contents of the /etc/openvpn directory (on RPi, or put there from another system). Some iptables rules are required (/etc/rc.local): iptables -t nat -A POSTR...
